The MAGP graduate assistantship includes a tuition-and-fee waiver and a stipend for performing services (working) in the department in which the student is pursuing a degree or in a Multicultural Affairs approved placement for the academic year. Continuing students who wish to apply for continuing support the following year must complete a new application. If academic progress and work performance as a graduate assistant are unsatisfactory, Multicultural Affairs, upon consultation with the department, will rescind or modify the award. The Day of Silence is a national day of day of action in which students across the country vow to take a form of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-lgbt bullying and harassment in schools. QAN is organizing a potluck breakfast with the SoulForce Bus Tour in Classroom Building 219 at 8 am to kick off the Day of Silence followed by a silent demonstration from To participate in DoS, pick up an armband in RRC on April 19 and 20. This is an exciting event organized to assist in fostering beneficial relationships between domestic and international students, and to give international students the experience of the American West. Want a free dinner and a $20 gift card? Have an hour to spare? If so, participate in a focus group discussion about your knowledge of alcohol-related laws, ordinances, and policies. We want to understand your opinions and ideas about messages related to alcohol laws and policies. After participating in the group, we will compile and analyze the responses. We will use this information to make suggestions to University of Wyoming administration. Don t worry; your identifying information will remain confidential. UW students are offered a special introductory summer session rate of $2500 that will cover tuition and shared apartment accommodation. As part of a broad curriculum that offers Italian, History, English and Archaeology UW professors Ricki Klages and Robert Field will teach courses in Art

3 and ENR. Klages will offer a 2000 level Outdoor Studio Art class that is suitable for all levels including non-art majors. Field will offer a 3000 level Energy and Environment class. As part of the Social Justice Research Center s mission to support research with a social justice focus, scholarly/professional support funding up to a maximum amount of $1,000 are available to scholars who are pursuing professional experiences relevant to pursuing or disseminating research with a social justice aim. Student Success Services. Student Success Services is a free UW program with the goal of helping students be successful. Some of the many services provided are: Academic (improving study skills and individual tutoring), Financial (help w/ FAFSA, scholarship searches), Personal/Social (navigating UW, and making connections). Student Health 101 is an online magazine with up-to-date information students can use to improve their health, relationships, and study habits, among other things. Furthermore, each issue is customized for UW with specific information about campus events and resources, such as nutrition help at Washakie or outdoor adventure options through Half Acre. The Laramie Spanish Choir invites students to a Spanish Mass every Sunday at 12:30 pm at St. Laurence O Toole, 319 Grand Avenue, Laramie, WY. Students are eligible to apply on a yearly basis. MassMutual Scholars Program Offers $150,000 in Scholarships. Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) is pleased to announce that its MassMutual Scholars Program is now a national scholarship program for high-achieving African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Hispanic students interested in careers in the insurance and financial services industries. This year, the program will offer 30 $5,000 college scholarships to highachieving students across the country. Eligible students of all majors will be considered who are entering their sophomore, junior, senior, or 5 th year senior year at an accredited U.S. college or university and are interested in pursuing a career in the insurance or financial services industry. The MATCH Corps is a one-year urban education fellowship in Boston. Corps members work full-time in one of our three charter schools, tutoring and mentoring about 6-7 students. The program is designed to fully close the academic achievement gap, one student at

12 a time. We also offer the MATCH Teacher Residency, which trains Corps members to be fulltime teachers in other high-need urban schools. We hire from all majors; candidates do not need to have a background in education. The Missouri Botanical Garden, one of the world's premiere botanical research and conservation institutions, is offering a summer REU in Plant Systematics, Conservation Biology and Ethnobotany. Open to undergraduates returning to their program of study in the fall following the REU. Funding covers housing, meals, travel, and includes a stipend of $5000 for the 10-week program.
