Full time studies: 30 h. / part-time studies: 15 h Aims of teachnig The aim of the course is to broaden language skills in a foreign language, which refer to the grammar and lexical forms, effective communication and openness to the challenges of today's job market. Student can make a phone call, leave a message, ask about the information and answer the questions about the direction. Learning outcomes of the course unit Knowledge: Student: P_W01: identifies the basic structures of the grammar and vocabulary forms to the extent that allows the understanding of simple written and listening texts about the family, society, education; P_W02: constructs simple expressions appropriate to the specific situation typical for everyday life (talks about family, friends and neighbors, describes a typical Polish family, discusses different ways to build relationships; P_W03: recognizes and applies forms allowing self- and the immediate environment introduction (a typical English family, the description of an old photograph, adverts in magazines, phone messages); P_W04: distinguishes differences in the system of education in Poland and England; Student: P_U01: leads discussion on topics related to his own person and the immediate surroundings: a comparison of today's and former schools, embarrassing situations, the relationships between parents and children, choosing a language school, asking for information; P_U02: uses correct basic grammatical rules and lexical forms appropriate to the particular circumstances of everyday life (home, school); P_U03: constructs a short speech on given topic within the required / processed subject; Reference to programme learning outcomes Administration I 1
