Full time studies: 30 h. / part-time studies: 15 h Aims of teachnig The aim of the course is to broaden language skills in a foreign language, which refer to the grammar and lexical forms, effective communication and openness to the challenges of today's job market. Student can make a phone call, leave a message, ask about the information and answer the questions about the direction. Learning outcomes of the course unit Knowledge: Student: P_W01: identifies the basic structures of the grammar and vocabulary forms to the extent that allows the understanding of simple written and listening texts about the family, society, education; P_W02: constructs simple expressions appropriate to the specific situation typical for everyday life (talks about family, friends and neighbors, describes a typical Polish family, discusses different ways to build relationships; P_W03: recognizes and applies forms allowing self- and the immediate environment introduction (a typical English family, the description of an old photograph, adverts in magazines, phone messages); P_W04: distinguishes differences in the system of education in Poland and England; Student: P_U01: leads discussion on topics related to his own person and the immediate surroundings: a comparison of today's and former schools, embarrassing situations, the relationships between parents and children, choosing a language school, asking for information; P_U02: uses correct basic grammatical rules and lexical forms appropriate to the particular circumstances of everyday life (home, school); P_U03: constructs a short speech on given topic within the required / processed subject; Reference to programme learning outcomes Administration I 1

Form used to and other past forms. Covering the events of the past. Presenting yourself in interactions with family, friends, neighbors and colleagues at work. Classes Full time studies: 30 h. / part-time studies: 15 h Aims of teachnig The aim of the course is to broaden language skills in a foreign language, which refer to the grammar and lexical forms, effective communication and openness to the challenges of today's job market After the second semester, student is able to arrange a meeting, construct a request for help, make a choice and convince the other party to do the same, make a reservation. Learning outcomes of the course unit Knowledge: Social Competence: Student: P_W01: identifies and distinguishes grammatical and vocabulary structures referring to the future; understands written and listening texts on travel, food and relationships; P_W02: recognizes everyday language (movie scene), understands the speaker s intentions and constructs simple expressions in return: description of an imaginary story, trip, at the restaurant; P_W03: recognizes and applies forms that allow easy adjustment to the new environment e.g. on the road; P_W04: distinguishes the differences between fast and slow food; P_U01: recognizes and uses known grammatical structures and vocabulary to discuss real life situations, arranges a meeting, formulates requests, sets a time limit, offers and presents a joint solution; P_U02: uses correct basic grammatical and lexical forms appropriate to the particular circumstances of everyday life: at the airport, at the hotel, at the restaurant; P_U03: constructs a short speech on a given topic: making a reservation, placing an order at a restaurant, etc.; P_U04: prepares spoken and written presentation on a given topic, e.g. making contact by phone/ using formal and colloquial language; Student: P_K01: works independently on spoken and written short forms of presentation: an order, ; P_K02: works in a team solving simple tasks: reading, writing and listening exercises; P_K01: works independently on spoken and written short forms: order, ; P_K03: is aware of different types of accents in English and is sensitive to cultural differences, is willing to seek an agreement; Course contents semester II Present tenses revision First Conditional - setting up meetings; Nouns, complex expressions creating noun phrases; Reference to programme learning outcomes Description of customs and local traditions - a comparison; Creating narrative - a film; Presenting a variety of ways of spending leisure time (holiday travel) - using future tenses to express future plans, Administration I 3
