3 COOL CAMPUS. With 800 acres of main campus space, a great mix of both brand new and historical buildings, and a feel that s big and small, EMU is one cool campus. Close to many things, but far from the ordinary. Eastern Michigan University gives students a small-town feel with access to big-city events, connections, and more. Located in the historical city of Ypsilanti, EMU is perfectly positioned in the eclectically mixed southeastern Michigan area with a bustling business community, professional sports, the DIA, and an international airport within 32 kilometers of campus. The Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area is home to four different universities and a community college, which makes it feel like the largest college community in Michigan. NATIONAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM* $ 21,000/year FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS EARNING OUR NATIONAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP* Cost of attendance is based on the average cost of an undergraduate student at Eastern Michigan University taking 26 credit hours and a graduate student taking 12 credit hours. Cost of Attendance includes tuition, room and board, books, registration and loan fees. Students may have additional fees based on program of study. Freshmen students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale receive a renewable award of $16,500 for up to 4 years. Transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 (tabulated from all post-secondary institutions attended) on a 4.0 scale with at least 30 college credits receive a renewable award of $16,500 per year. Graduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher on their U.S. equivalent Bachelor s degree coursework receive a renewable award of $8,000 per year.
