4 AS PER CLAUSE OF THE UGC REGULATIONS 2010 AND UGC (4 TH AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, THE ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE F VARIOUS TEACHING POSTS IN ARTS, HUMANITIES, SCIENCES, SOCIAL SCIENCES, EDUCATION, LANGUAGES, JOURNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION ARE AS FOLLOWS: PROFESS i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification(s) in the concerned I allied I relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and I or research! policy papers in indexedlisbn/issn numbered journals and lor ISBN/ISSN numbered books and the University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journalsl Books hosted in the website of the University. ii) A minimum of 10 years of teaching expenence III University I College, and I or experience in research at the University I National level institutions I industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology - mediated teaching learning process. iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator CAPI) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), developed by UGC (4 th Amendment) Regulations, An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned I allied I relevant discipline, to., substantiate by credentials. 5 ISBN/ISSN numbered books and the University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journals I Books hosted in the website of the University. iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and course, and technology-mediated teaching I learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based ASSISTANT Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC (4th Amendment) Regulations, PROFESS (Arts, Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, Languages, Journalism and Mass Communication) i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (1) and (2) above, candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in the following manner are exempted from having NET: iv) "Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered for the M.Phil./ Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET ISLET ISET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities I Colleges I Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions as per UGC 4th Amendment dated: 11 July a) Ph.D degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only b) Evaluation of the Ph.D thesis by at least two external examiners c) Open Ph.D viva voce of the candidate had been conducted d) Candidate has published two research papers from his I her Ph.D work out of which at least one must be in a referred journal e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences I seminars, based on his I her Ph.D work. (a) to (e) as above are to the certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice- ChancellorlDean (Academic Affairs) I Dean (University instructions) v) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted... 5

6 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE F TEACHING POSTS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF APPAREL TECHNOLOGY & MANAGEMENT (Assistant Professor) M.Sc. degree in Apparel Technology and management with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with Specialization in Chemical processing, Textiles, Garments Constructions, Silk Technology, Apparel Merchandising M.Sc. Degree in Polymer Science with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with Specialization of Apparel Technology Chemical Processing Textiles, Garments constructions, Silk Technology, Apparel Merchandising A first class Post graduation in Engineering I Technology with Textiles. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE F TEACHING POSTS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PERFMING ARTS (Assistant Professor) A) DRAMA DISCIPLINE i) Good academic record with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the master's Degree level, in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian I Foreign University., ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGc. However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations 2009, Shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities I Colleges I Institutions. iii) Without prejudice to the above, NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. iv) A traditional and a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should be or have: 1. A professional artist with first class degree I diploma from National School of Drama or any other such approved Institution in India or abroad; 2. Five years of regular acclaimed performance in regional/national/international stage with evidence, and 3. Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustration in said discipline... 6

7 B) MUSIC AND DANCE DISCIPLINE i) Good academic record with 50% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level, in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian I Foreign University. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lectures conducted by the UGC, CISR, or similar test accredited by the UGC. Notwithstanding anything contained in the sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause , candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities I Colleges I Institutions. Hi) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. 1. A traditional and a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the subject, who should have: (a) Studied under noted/reputed traditional masters and has thorough knowledge to explain the subject concerned; (b) A high grade artist of AIR/TV; and (c) Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline. and adequate ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE F TEACHING POSTS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF TELUGU (Assistant Professor) i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (1) and (2) above, candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in the following manner are exempted from having NET: iv) "Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered for the M.Phil./ Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then., 7

Desirable: Diploma Course or Certificate Course Jana / Ratna in Kannada Examinations conducted by Kannada Sahitya Parishat / Institutions and Universities. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS F FACULTY POSITIONS IN THE REGULATIONS IN THE NCTE (Assistant Professor) EDUCATION i) A Master's Degree in Arts / Humanities / Sciences / Commerce and M.Ed. with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), M.A. (Education) and B.Ed. each with a minimum of 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); ii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / such other affiliating body / State Government, from time to time for the positions of Principal and lectures, shall be mandatory. Provided that it is desirable that one faculty member possesses a Master's Degree in Psychology and another member in Philosophy / Sociology besides M.Ed. and PHYSICAL EDUCATION i) A Master's Degree in Physical Education with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); and ii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / such other affiliating body / State Government, from time to time for the positions of Principal and lectures, shall be mandatory. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE F TEACHING POSTS IN ENGINEERING/ TECHNOLOGY / ARCHITECTURE ARE AS FOLLOWS: ACCDING TO AICTE / UGC REGULATIONS 2010 AND UGC (4 TH AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, PROFESS i) B.E / B.Tech., and M.E., / M.Tech., in relevant branch with First class or equivalent either in B.E., / B.Tech.,or M.E., / M.Tech. ii) An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification(s) or equivalent, in appropriate discipline and Post Ph.D Publications and guiding Ph.D student is highly desirable. 8

9 iii) Minimum of 10 years teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or Research and / or Industry. iv) In case of research experience, good academic record and books / research paper publications / IPR / Patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection committee. If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Assoc. Professor with active participation record in devising / designing. Lanning executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books / research paper publications / IPR / patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee. In case of Architecture, Professional Practice of 10 years as certified by the Council of Architecture shall also be considered valid. v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC (4th Amendment) Regulations, ASSOCIA TE PROFESS i) B.E / B.Tech., and M.E., / M.Tech., in relevant branch with First class or equivalent either in B.E., / B.Tech., or M.E., / M.Tech. ii) An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification(s) or equivalent, in appropriate discipline and Post Ph.D Publications and guiding Ph.D student is highly desirable. iii) Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching / research / industry of which 2 years post Ph.D experience is desirable. iv) In case of Architecture, Professional Practice of 5 years as certified by Council or Architecture shall also be considered valid. v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC (4th Amendment) Regulations, "ASSISTANT PROFESS (Engineering / Technology & Architecture) i)b.e / B.Tech., and M.E., / M.Tech., in relevant branch with First class or equivalent either in B.E., / B.Tech., or M.E., / M.Tech. ii) Bachelors and Masters Degree in Architecture with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or masters Degree. The prescribed application forms may be obtained by downloading from University website: and application fee of Rs to be paid by D.D in favour of "The Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bengaluru". 2. The filled in applications shall be accompanied by a D.D for processing Fees of Rs for the post of Assistant Professor and Rs for Associate Professor and Professor drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bengaluru". 3. THE LAST DATE F SUBMISSION OF THE DULY FILLED IN APPLICATION FMS TO "THE REGISTRAR, BANGALE UNIVERSITY, JNANA BHARATHI CAMPUS, BENGALURU ", is BEFE 5.00 P.M. 4. As per the directions issued by the Department of Higher Education (Universities), Govt. of Karnataka, Bengaluru vide letter No. ED 165 UKV 2016 dated , the candidates who have been appointed prior to and presently covered under Old Pension Scheme, if got appointed will be covered under New Defined Pension Scheme. 5. The applicants claiming the benefit or reservation shall enclose a valid Caste Certificate issued by the competent authorities not below the rank of Tahsildar, along with the application. 10. There is no provision to protect the pay of the Teachers selected by the University who come from colleges 1 Institutions 1Central 1 State Government Services. 11.
