3 Board of Education Work Meeting of April 10, 2007 Page 2 Patricia Robbins & Livia Vanaver presented the Arts Grant and then Patricia Robbins presented the Rosendale Elementary School to the Board of Education with the 4 th grade demonstrating a colonial dance routine. PRESENTATIONS Debra Kosinski & Kim McEvoy Kim McEvoy Presented Benefits package to the Board of Education. Debra Kosinski presented the school Budget to the Board of Education. A MOTION WAS MADE TO OPEN THE DISCUSSION TO THE PUBLIC. MOTION: IMRE BEKE, JR. SECOND: PAMELA LONGLEY OPEN DISCUSSION TO THE PUBLIC A MOTION WAS MADE TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED BUDGET DRAFT AND PROPOSITION FOR THE BUDGET AS PRESENTED. MOTION: MICHAEL REDMOND SECOND: IMRE BEKE, JR. Emergency Conditional Instructional Appointments EMERGENCY CONDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONAL APPOINTMENTS BY CONSENT RECOMMENDED MOTION: WHEREAS, the following employee(s) have been fingerprinted, the fingerprints have been submitted to the New York State Education Department (SED) for processing and the District has not received clearance for such employees as of the date of this meeting; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that, upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, The Board hereby re-appoints the following non-instructional employees on an emergency conditional basis: COLETTE WOODWARD;CAROL SHANK BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such emergency conditional re-appointments shall be conditional appointments upon receipt of State clearance from SED.

MOTION: JAMES AYERS MIDDLE SCHOOL COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION PLAN SECOND: PAMELA LONGLEY A MOTION WAS MADE TO ADOPT THE PROPOSED SCHOOL BUDGET, TO BE PRESENTED TO THE VOTERS ON MAY 15, 2007, AS DISCUSSED AND REVIEWED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $56,793,478. 11 A MOTION WAS MADE TO ADOPT THE PROPOSED SCHOOL CONTINGENT BUDGET, (if necessary), AS DISCUSSED AND REVIEWED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $55,651,933. MOTION: MICHAEL REDMOND SECOND: KENT ANDERSON PROPOSED SCHOOL CONTINGENT BUDGET A MOTION WAS MADE TO ADOPT THE PROPOSED ADDITIONAL BUDGET PROPOSITION AS DISCUSSED AND REVIEWED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $479,118. 12 Heather Post Student Congress sponsoring the Senior Citizen Ball on May 9. Battle of the Bands on March 30 was great. Spring Fest for the High School students is on this year. BOARD TIME Steven DiGrazia Applauded Mr. Sullivan with the exchange students from Spain. This Saturday is Rondout Valley track invitational, which starts at 10:00 am. Paul Gruner The presentation by the Rosendale Elementary was terrific and complimented the school on the Yankee poster out front. Pamela Longley Rondout Valley Education Foundation fundraiser is this Sunday, tickets are still available contact Pamela Longley, Eileen Camasso or Nancy Taylor. Michael Redmond Do we recognize students receiving scholarships? Requesting a list at Board of Education meetings. James Ayers Highland School District dropping block scheduling, wants to know why.
