Check out our website: Sign up for Remind Use class code: MukGuide Register for PSAT & ACT Begin your campus visits & Begin JOB shadows Join an an academic club/sport (NOT too late!) Visit College/Career Representatives at high school Update (or start) your Academic Resume!! Keep track of extracurricular activities, volunteer work, awards you have received from freshman year. Make sure you have created good relationships with teachers- scholarship applications and some universities require letters of recommendation.

4 Reminders Know the Graduation Requirements - If there is a class you need to make up, see your counselor - If you need to switch a class for your career interest, see your counselor - If you are planning on attending a 4 year university, make you sure you are following their minimum requirements - Example: Three years of a math, but FOUR years are recommend - Please note MANY universities do not accept AP Stats as your 3rd year of math RIGOR is important! When planning Senior year, make sure you are still challenging yourself! Sign up for classes that personally can handle!

5 PSAT WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 11th PSAT Sign UP begins Tuesday 10/3 - Monday 10/9 in Counseling Center DURING lunch hours. $16 (Checks made out to MHS) 3 Hour Test (Held in South Gym) By taking the PSAT, if you do really well, you may be entered into the National Merit Scholarship Program If you say Yes to the Student Search Service on test day, you ll be eligible to receive free information from colleges and scholarship organizations.

6 PSAT Tricks & Tips The test consists of: One 60 minute reading; One 35 minute writing/language; Two Math portions: 25 minutes (no calculator) & 45 minutes (with calculator) By taking the PSAT, if you do really well, you may be entered into the National Merit Scholarship Program If you say Yes to the Student Search Service on test day, you ll be eligible to receive free information from colleges and scholarship organizations.

7 ACT All JUNIORS will test on February 27, 2018 You do NOT need to sign up for this ACT! IF you take an ACT on a Saturday, you need to sign up through (April & June test dates are recommended)

8 ACT- PREP Wisconsin Test Prep Held on Wednesdays at MHS, Begins January 3rd and ends Saturday Feb 17th with a Practice Test Limited Spots for this Prep Class; Encouraged to Sign up EARLY! Sign up through ($160 for the class) Other Options: Career Cruising; WCTC/UW-Waukesha; Online
