37 CCP Admission Requirements Preferred requirements for all applicants (grades 7-12): 3.00 cumulative GPA AND 21 ACT composite or 1060 SAT combined score for Math and Evidence- Based Reading & Writing The Office of Admissions will evaluate the cumulative GPA and ACT or SAT scores to determine college readiness for applicants not meeting the preferred requirements. All applicants must meet at least one of the three minimum College Readiness Standards (English, Reading or Math) as determined by the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Additional Math Placement Requirements In addition to the preferred admission requirements, students must have an ACT Math score of 21 or SAT Math score of 530 to enroll in College Algebra. Students must earn a C- or better in Algebra for Calculus to advance into Precalculus.

40 Application Process: Apply online for admissions through each individual college s College Credit Plus website. You must go through the procedures established by each college/university to apply to College Credit Plus and to enroll in courses.
41 Register for ACT and/or Accuplacer All current CFHS juniors will be taking the ACT on February 20, 2019 at the high school. The cost of this administration is being paid for by the state of Ohio. Residual ACT is only valid for that university.
42 April 15 Deadline for summer or fall session at the University of Akron; May 1 Deadline for summer or fall session for Stark State College and Kent State University Follow directions - checklist provided, how to apply, materials needed, etc. Schedule CCP classes around CFHS schedule Know the bell schedule, i.e., band, career, etc. Give yourself at least one hour to get to campus Copy of CCP schedule to counselor if attending on university or college campus
43 The CCP Packet includes: CCP Checklist Home and School Agreement Form Letter of Intent to Participate in College Credit Plus This Intent Form signifies that you have been counseled regarding the rules of the CCP program and will abide by the guidelines. Filling out this form does not obligate you to participate in the program The entire packet is due by March 22, 2019 (due earlier due to spring break) The student must schedule an appointment to meet with his or her counselor to submit the completed CCP Packet.

47 AP courses are college-level courses offered in high school Courses reflect what is taught in top introductory college courses Students take AP Exams at the end of the course, measuring their mastery of college-level work A score of 3 or higher on an AP exam can typically earn students college credit and/or placement into advanced courses in college
48 The exam fee for is $94 per exam. Assistance is available for eligible students with financial need: The College Board offers a fee reduction per exam for eligible students with financial need. The State of Ohio has picked up a portion of the cost as well, in the past. We do not have the current state fee reduction information as of yet.
