August Regular fall instruction begins. September Last day to drop a semester-length course and qualify for a refund. September Last day to drop a semester-length course and not have it appear on the transcript. September Labor Day Holiday - Campus closed September Last day to enroll in and add semesterlength classes for the fall semester (Census). October Degree Evaluation Petition Due to Admissions Office for Spring October Last day to drop a semester-length course without a letter penalty and receive a W. November Veterans Day Holiday- Campus closed November Priority registration begins for spring 2016 for continuing students November Thanksgiving Holidays- Campus closed December Open registration begins for spring 2016 for returning and new students December Final Exams for fall semester. ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION College Fees, Tuition, and Fee Refunds Non-Resident Tuition Fee Non-resident students are required by state law to pay tuition in addition to enrollment fees. The tuition fee for non-resident students is $200 per unit up to a maximum of 15 units per semester. There is a capital outlay fee for $42 per unit, maximum of 15 units per semester for non-residents. STUDENT SERVICES Cost of Attendance Enrollment Fee... $46 per unit* Nonresident/International (15 units max.)..$200 per unit Nonresident/International Capital Outlay Fee $42 per unit Student Center Fee ($5 max.).... $1 per unit Health Fees (fall/spring)...$12 per semester Summer....$9 Parking for on-campus classes Fall...$20 Spring...$20 Summer....$10 Student ASB Card (optional)....$15 per year** Fall only...$7.50 Spring only...$7.50 In addition to college fees, students could expect average additional costs (this budget is based on a student living away from home): Room and Board (average)....$8,500 per year** Books and Supplies (average)... $1,710 per year** Personal Expenses (average)...$2,826 per year** Transportation (average)...$1,044 per year** *$46 per unit cost is set by the state and may change. **Per year is a nine month academic year. 3
