Don t make it about others in your family - You should be the STAR! How has your background motivated/inspired you? Not about the situation but how you grew from it. Detailed, meaningful, and with depth What did you choose to do in HS? What did you learn from it? How did you apply what you learned to other aspects of your life? 61 Letter of Acceptance Letter of acceptance is conditional! UC can rescind/revoke your admission after HS graduation. You must Earn grades of C s or better in senior coursework Maintain reported GPA Self report all information on application correctly, including all coursework taken, grades earned and senior coursework planned they will not see your transcript until after graduation.
62 The Blue+Gold Opportunity For California residents whose families earn less than $80,000 and who qualify for financial aid, the Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan will fully cover UC s system wide tuition and fees. Provides a minimum amount of grant money that students can receive. Students with sufficient financial need can qualify for even more grants to cover other educational expenses, such as room and board, books, and transportation. Financial aid estimator: Gives families a better idea of the total amount of financial aid they might receive. Students should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2 in order to qualify for the Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan and to receive the highest possible financial aid award. No separate application is needed for the Blue and Gold plan; students will receive the benefits automatically if they qualify.
