1 Abstract : LIBRARY SERVICES EVALUATION IN MADHYA PRADESH COLLEGES OF EDUCATION Dr. Amit Kumar Patidar Associate Professor Sri Aurobindo Institute of Library and Information Science Librarian SAIMS, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Science and P. G. Institute (SAIMS&PGI), Indore Library services are one major component of education system. This article attempts to describe the services in the library. The libraries status was colleges of education Madhya Pradesh. Provides, a list of colleges of education and their affiliation to the universities. Also gives their status as government / university / private Studies staff, furniture and A.V. aids available studies their building and budget of libraries, other aspects such as library committee, circulation, number of books issued etc. have been studied concludes with revival of these colleges by providing ore staff and funds. Introduction : The aims and objectives of teachers are to develop the personality of students. The training of education makes a teacher good and competent to do his/ her duties. The trained teachers help to students and increase the knowledge. Teachers need to be well trained and prepared to deal with extremely diverse classrooms of mostly first generation learners. education system in the world has excelled without making a significant investment in building a cadre of quality teachers. Yet, teacher education in India is a weak link in the education system. My research is based on the research topic Madhya Pradesh Ke shiksha Mahavidhyalaon me Granthalaya Sevayen : Ek Samikshatmak Adhyayan has bee awarded Ph.D. degree in library and information science from Vikram Ujjain. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY : data. The questioner was sent to colleges of education libraries, Personal visits to libraries were also made to collect AREA OF RESEARCH : The 23 colleges of education running B. Ed. and M. Ed. Courses have been selected. There were 11 private colleges colleges have B. Ed. Courses colleges have M. Ed. (Post Graduation) courses also. 8. These 23 colleges were affiliated with 8 different universities. Librarians are Incharge The details of available library staff in the all 28 colleges of education are as follows: (57%) colleges of education libraries have librarians (43%) colleges of education libraries librarians posts were vacant Professors were incharge of the libraries assistant librarians were incharge of libraries assistant librarians were subordinate of librarians. Total 10 assistant librarians posts were available others library staff was also working in the libraries. 7. In all 71 professionals were working the all 23 libraries. LIBRARY STAFF MEMBERS ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : 1. 1 librarian had Ph. D. and 1 M. Phill degree librarians had M. Lib. qualifications asst. librarians had M. Lib. qualifications library had appointed non qualified person as librarian. Tabel 3 : Library Building : Sr.. There were very few research scholars most libraries. 3. For M. Ed books were allowed for issue. 4. For B. Ed. 2 4 books were allowed for issue and for other staff 2--3 books were allowed.
