Activities reflecting the goals and objectives of the institution With the realisation of the fact that knowledge is the engine of growth of any nation and the generation of wealth is going to depend on the knowledge base of the society, education has taken the centre stage in the policy framework of our government. In fact, the College is in the process of introducing Post Graduate courses in the faculty of Arts and Science, in some selected subjects, which has been possible only because of the unstinted support of the University, which has helped the College to gain autonomy in 1994 and in getting it extended in 1999 and again in 2007 up to The College believes that the minor hassles at the University level will soon be resolved and the College will be able to move on its growth path with the blessings of the University. 2. New academic programmes initiated (UG and PG)- B.Com and PG program in the selected department Ad-on courses for development of professional skills among the students Establishment of the research development and extension cell Formation of ethical committee for experiment on human and animal subject 3. Generally these awards are instituted by college Alumni in the name of their teachers, parents and family members etc. In a new award in the name of Mr. Bharat Lal Srivastava has been instituted by his son Mr. Neeraj Srivastava an alumnus of this college. ECCAA is committed to bring our Alumni together, but it sometimes becomes extremely difficult for us to take time out from our busy schedule. I wish to appeal to all to join hands with the management of the college and also with batches of students for the growth of Amla-mater. 16. Good practices of the institution The College aims to bring the IT revolution in its helm of affairs by making its faculty members as well as the non teaching staff fully aware of the innovation in the field of education. As a long term goal the college aims to convert itself into an e_learning hub and a pioneer in the field of research. To achieve this aim the college has planned to introduce PG courses from the session and train its staff in the use the latest technology. 21. Action Taken Report on the AQAR of the previous year The College has been striving hard to introduce Post Graduate classes, however due to structural changes in the status of the Allahabad University from State to Central has led to some delay in achieving this much awaited need of the College. As a long term

6 goal the college has made all the necessary preparation to achieve this target. At the same time the college has taken a lead step in the field of technology by installing a campus wide LAN connectivity via Opti Fibre. Section C: Outcomes achieved by the end of the year 1. Implementation of the semester system : The College has undertaken the matter of the implementation of the semester system in various bodis of the college v.iz academi council, board studies, committee of head and the examination committee. fter going through the resolutions and deliberations, the college administration has decided to implement the semester system in the PG courses. 2. Start PG courses in Humanities and Sciences : The College has issued notice of the departments to prepare proposals for the PG courses and the interdisciplinary courses to be run in the department which will be laid down before the Academic Council Meeting for approval.
