1 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN COLLEGE OF DuPAGE AND LEWIS UNIVERSITY This agreement is entered into between Lewis University, hereinafter "Lewis" and College of DuPage hereinafter "COD" to offer qualified students a convenient, cost effective, and streamlined approach for an enhanced 2+2 agreement for COD teacher preparation/education students leading to a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Combined Special Education/Elementary Education from Lewis University, hereinafter "combined education." With mutual institutional respect, our two institutions enter into a curriculum coordination agreement. The objectives of the Agreement are as follows: Offer COD students the ability to complete teacher preparation/ education and general education courses at College of DuPage which will be accepted for transfer toward a Combined Special Education/Elementary Education Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lewis University. Collaboratively advise students to enhance their education and streamline articulation between the two institutions. Jointly prepare students to take full advantage of the teaching opportunities in special and elementary education.
