Please talk to your tutor if you are struggling to find a place. Apprentice opportunities I am currently working for Remit Group. We are a nationwide automotive apprenticeship training provider, with myself specialising in Automotive Apprenticeships. We have had a long-term working relationship with TDC Commercial Bodyshop. They have committed to taking on one Apprentices at their Lydney location; GL15 5EN. They are particularly interested in taking an individual at the end of this academic year. 4 National Healthcare Science Week (Monday 11 th March to Friday 15 th March). Applications have now gone out to all previous pupils who have contacted me directly. I would encourage you to share the attached again with all your pupils (year 11 and above) to ensure they have access to register to attend these events. This is such a unique and amazing opportunity to see, meet and have some hands-on experience within the many careers of healthcare science. Pupils need to complete the attached, application to register their specific interest for the session they wish to attend and then have a 2 nd reserve choice. The General session on Wednesday 13 th March will give you an overall experience to visit a wide selection of stands that will showcase the vast areas of healthcare science. You can talk to professionals within their roles and they can give you further advice and guidance. 7 Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is running a Healthcare Apprenticeship Opportunities Fair for those who are in Year 11 and above who are interested in gaining a potential career in the Healthcare Sector. This event is specifically designed for those who are interested in becoming an Apprentice Healthcare Assistant. During this event you will have the opportunity to find out about apprenticeships at our Trust whilst having the chance to speak with nursing staff about their experiences and have a look into some of the specific specialities our Trust has to offer. The event will take place on Saturday 9 th March from 13:00 till 14:00 in Redwood Education Centre, Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Great Western Road, Gloucester, GL1 3NN. Our Scholarship program runs during the Summer holidays, Monday 29 th July to Thursday 08 th August The scheme is available to young adults wishing to pursue a career in our most fascinating industry. This is a great opportunity for students aged between to gain real world exposure to the aviation industry that will set them on their way on their chosen career path. The Cotswold Airport Aviation Scholarship is fully funded by the Airport and our sponsor, World Fuel Services. The programme has already changed the lives of many young adults helping them to embark on the aviation industry whether their chosen career path be Military, Commercial Flight Crew, Engineering or Air Traffic Services, Operations etc. This year the program is open to 10 students. The successful applicants will enjoy an immersive two weeks in various areas of the industry from Operations, Air traffic services, Military, Engineering and much more. Crucially, candidates will get to do plenty of flying. Each candidate will complete in a number of flying hours in various aircraft types including Gliders, Powered fixed wing, Microlights, helicopters, and even some aerobatics. In this brand new space engineering course, students will get to experience and learn the key skills in being a space engineer London Hospital Work Experience Placements for Gloucestershire schools 10 th - 16 th February 17 th - 23 rd February 2019 After research emerged that over one thousand medical students withdrew from their courses over the last five years, the Med Students Matter campaign has been launched to ensure all aspiring medics are provided with the support they need to stay ahead in a fierce crowd. We're pleased to be supporting this initiative by continuing to hold work experience projects throughout 2019, and we'd love to invite your year students to join us in February half-term for a week-long, sought-after placement in a top London hospital. 14 AIM HIGH PROGRAMME A fantastic week aimed at 14 to year old students that are interested in an aviation career whether it is flying, engineering, RAF, Air Traffic control or Airfield Operations and Management. Weather permitting the students will also have the opportunity for a trial flying lesson in a light aircraft. They will visit on site companies including aircraft engineering companies, the Air Traffic Control tower and the Air Traffic Control college. It is a free week but the students will need to apply via our website and we are holding interviews at the Gloucestershire Airport on the 2 nd February and from there we will select 10 students.
