5 Curriculum A "curriculum" is a set of requirements for graduation and courses which may be taken. A student's curriculum is determined by the year of their enrollment, and with the exception of a change in enrollment status, it will not normally change. 15 APM: Human Resource Development Goals The Mission of the College of International Management is to cultivate human resources with strong business ethics that will play an active role in resolving management issues at globalizing enterprises and other organizations by imparting fundamental knowledge in management, enhancing intercultural communication skills and upholding cultural diversity.

17 APM: Area of Study The College of International Management has established four Areas of Study in order to support the development of future business people with high professional ethics and the ability to discover and resolve management issues. Students will acquire a knowledge of management and a deep understanding of diverse societies, cultures and traditions and also interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds in the world of international business. Once students have completed 12 or more credits from among the designated subjects for the Area of Study (seminar subjects can be included up to 4 credits in the 12 credits) and registered for their Area of Study via Campusmate during the designated registration period, the name of that Area of Study will be noted on their diploma. 97 Course Registration is the most important part of implementing your education plan. It is absolutely essential in attending class, receiving credit and graduating from APU. In order to ensure smooth progress through your education plan, please take utmost care when carrying out registration. For Course Registration and academic advising-related issues, please visit the Academic Office for support. 98 Class Absences In the event that you cannot attend classes due to unavoidable reasons, please inform your instructors. Each instructor will determine how to handle your absence in these cases. Infectious Diseases Short-term Absence : 1 ( 5 class days in a row ) 3 weeks Long-term Absence Others (Job Hunting, Extracurricular Activities) APU does not authorize absences other than due to Infectious Diseases under any circumstances.
