Spring Athletics Softball mandatory 15-minute meeting at lunch on Wednesday, January 11 th in Ms. Zamora's room. Lunch will be provided for you. Make sure to have your physicals done by the end of next week. Conditioning starts on January 16 th. Boys Golf a Mandatory meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 11 th at 3:10 in room 23B. PowerSchool Parent Accounts Parent accounts will be available for access starting January 3, 2017 for. Sign up for an account with the information you received in the mail. You can review the bell schedule at Schedule/index.html Purchase a Yearbook Online Go to Jostens online Seniors Scholarship Applications There are many different sources for scholarships and there are some easy links available to LHS students for millions of national scholarships as well as local ones. Follow the steps below to locate national scholarships: 1) Go to Lincoln High School s Website 2) Click on Student Services and then on the drop down menu to Counseling/ College & Career 3) On the new drop down menu click on Naviance/Family Connection or click on this link: 4) Your is your regular log-in to any LHS computer: (grad year) (last name) (first initial) (middle 5) Your password is your student number. 6) Click on the Colleges tab and then scroll to the bottom of the page to the Scholarship section. 7) Click on National Scholarship Search This tab will open a window within the program for a Sallie Mae Scholarship search. Sallie Mae has over 3 million available scholarships of over $13 billion dollars! Complete the profile form to the best of your ability. If you don t know the answer to a question, leave it blank. When you complete the profile form (three pages of questionnaire) all the scholarships you are eligible for will be listed. Click on each scholarship for more information. Each one will have a different due date, eligibility, requirements, award amount, and contact info. Follow the listed website to find out this information.

Some tips: -Start applications early! -Keep records of all scholarships you apply to. -Ask for letters of recommendation and official transcripts at least a week before you need them. -Ask myself (Mrs. Pierce) or another staff member on campus to look over your scholarship essays before you submit. 4 Speech Contests will be Thursday, February 16 th and Friday, February 17 th. See Ms. Ward in Room #37 to sign up. The Homework Center Open Monday 2-5 PM Tuesday through Thursday 3:00-6 PM. The Homework Center is closed the first Tuesday of each month. From the Counseling Department If you are filing for financial aid WITH A DACA SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, be sure you complete A DREAM ACT application NOT THE FAFSA application. If you are not getting a welcome letter from Sierra College after you have applied to the college. Please call CCC at (877) to confirm your application is complete. If all is good, then call the HUB to assist you with setting your user/password to establish your Sierra College Account/Portal. The Financial Aid Application (FAFSA) is now open, filing deadline is March 2nd. Go online to FAFSA.ed.gov to learn about the filing details If you are looking to work after graduation you will be eligible for many jobs with the State of California. You may go online to and do your research.
