3 The beginning of the University of Kragujevac University of Kragujevac rose from the basis of the Licej Knjaževstva Serbskog (Serbian Principality), the first higher education institution in modern Serbia, in 1838.

4 UNIVERSITY OF KRAGUJEVAC University of Kragujevac, founded by the Republic of Serbia, is independent higher education institution, which combines education, research and art, as components of unique education process and integrates the functions of all its faculties.

5 Within the University of Kragujevac there are 12 faculties with the status of legal entity located in 6 cities of Central Serbia: Kragujevac, Čačak, Jagodina, Kraljevo, Užice, Vrnjačka Banja:

9 According to the research, from the National Council for Research and Technology Development, two faculties of the University of Kragujevac are ranked among top 10 scientific-research institutions: The Faculty of Science, at tenth, and The Faculty of Medical Sciences, at fourth place: During the year 2016, faculty teachers published 142 papers in scientific journals on SCI list with a total impact factor of 485

10 We are famous.. For our doctoral academic studies We are the first Faculty in the country that has established the doctoral academic studies. For the international Serbian Journal of Experimentaland Clinical Research The Medical Faculty in Kragujevac is the only faculty in the country that has its own international journal. For the scientific projects that we finance ourselves We finance the so-called Junior projects, which is the way to help young researchers to make the first move and appear in the scientific circles For the Section for urgent medicine European Council for resuscitation (ERC) courses of the Basic Life Support (BLS), Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) and Advanced Life Support (ALS)- education in CPR for the doctors on internship

11 University of Kragujevac, as well as the faculties in its structure, have been coordinators or partners in almost 100 international projects within various framework programmes: Horizon2020, Erasmus+, TEMPUS (since 2001 about 40 TEMPUS projects have been realized), CEEPUS, WUSAustria, COST, SCOPES, IPAetc.
