The students are requested to bring the original certificates for verification and the declaration form signed by the Head of the Institute/University or Principal of the College as per the format given below. All students admitted to the project work should pay the Project fee of Rs. 3000/- per month. The payment should be made in the form of DD drawn in favour of Director, CSIR-NIIST Trivandrum, payable at Trivandrumat the time of admission. The students of SC/ST/BPL category on production of valid certificates from the authorised government department/head of institution will be given project fee waiver 6

However, there could be co-guide from the department if desired. But this should be informed clearly to NIIST with the name of person in the letter from the HOD/Principal. iv) NIIST will have full intellectual property right on the work carried out by the student. However, if a paper is published out of the work, the student(s) name will be considered for the authorship depending up on his/her contribution. v) University/College undertakes the responsibility for any misconduct by the student(s). vi) Thesis/dissertation title/cover page will have the title of the work, name of the university where it would be submitted, student s name, his/her registration number (optional), name of NIIST scientist as supervisor, name of NIIST and month and year of submission.
