1 International Enrolment Agreement & Fees Policy (Please Print) Student Name: Parent Name: Date of Entry: Level of Entry: Business Information International students may be enrolled at subject to regulations set down by the n Government and the conditions adopted by the College in accordance with these as listed below. offers study opportunities from year levels 3 to 12 subject to space being available in each year level. Fee Receipts All student fees will be receipted by the College and a receipt issued in accordance with standard College policy. Fees are payable per study period (semester) in advance. No more than 50% of the students total tuition fees for a course is payable before the student has begun the course. Remaining fees are due to be paid two weeks before the start of the students next study period / semester. Student Fees Will be charged in accordance with current year s tuition and other charges as outlined in the International Schedule of fees Will be kept in a separate account, identifiable as international student fees with a recognised banking institution Student fees can only be accessed by the College, as and when the service for which students have paid has been delivered Balance of fees cannot be used for any other purpose until students have completed the programme for which they have enrolled Please refer to the International Student refund policy for further information. Student Release acknowledges that letters of release for students wishing to transfer schools may be provided under the following circumstances: The student has been enrolled with the College for a minimum period of 6 months and/or The student has provided a letter from the new school stating that a place has been offered and accepted and that the new school will take over responsibility for the student s welfare. The student has provided a letter from parents or parent appointed guardians stating that they approve of the transfer. All possible action has been taken to ensure the students welfare and continued enrolment at the College. These letters of release will refer to matters relating to commitment to studies attendance financial commitments 1. Definitions and Interpretations In this agreement: The College means The Registration & Enrolment Fees means the fees payable on the execution of this agreement and is not refundable.

2 1.3. The parents are those persons named above who are the legal guardians, natural parents, adoptive parents or de facto parents of the student as the case may be and shall include their executors, administrators and assigns The Principal means the Principal of and includes any Acting Principal or other senior member of staff for the time being carrying out the duties or exercising authority of the Principal by general or specific delegation The student means the individual named above. The student will be known by the name above during the course of his/her enrolment and all documentation will use this name unless legal documentation is produced to indicate a change Calendar Year is the year starting January 1 and ending December Due Date is two weeks prior to the start of each semester or the date as otherwise indicated. 2. Terms of Payment 2.1 International students are liable for the full fee for the course in which they are enrolled. 2.2 The fees paid cover the cost of tuition and Compulsory Student Activities Fees only Course fees do not include Student Overseas Health Insurance. From 30 July 2010, all new international students are required to show proof of insurance at the time of enrolment which covers the full period of their Visa The course fees paid do not cover other expenses associated with the course such as books, uniforms, equipment, accommodation or living expenses The international fees are set annually by the College and are payable in advance each semester. 3. Fee Guarantee 3.1. The College guarantees that the annual fee will remain constant for the duration of one calendar year, whilst the student remains enrolled for the duration of the year. 4. Notification of Fee Liability 4.1. New students are notified in writing of fees due (annually and per semester) in the Enrolment package and at the time of offer for admission to the College A commencement fee is stated in the Letter of Offer which serves as an invoice for fees payable for the first semester. The commencement fee is payable at the time the offer is accepted and prior to enrolment For each subsequent semester, a fees invoice is issued by the College. The fees must be paid by the date printed on the fees invoice In the event that the invoice is not received by the student, the student is still liable for tuition fees and should request a copy of their accounts Any fees paid in excess of the total fee due each semester will be deducted from the next fee invoice. 5. Payment of Fees 5.1 For all students, tuition fees are due prior to the commencement of the relevant study period and no later than the due date advised on the invoice. 5.2 A student will not be considered fully enrolled until all fees are paid for the relevant study period. 5.3 Any student who has not paid fees by the final due date will not be allowed to commence study, until such time all the relevant fees are paid. 5.4 Any student thus excluded will be considered to be in a breach of their student visa and will be reported to Department of Immigration. Please note: Students are responsible for maintaining compliance with their conditions of their student visa at all time. 6. Penalties for Non-Payment of College Tuition Fees 6.1. Any enrolled student who is indebted to the College and fails to make a satisfactory settlement of his indebtedness upon receipt of due notice, ceases to be a student at Coomera Anglican College. Such a student is not permitted to register for further education, to attend classes or examinations, or to be granted any official credentials.

3 6.2. Enrolment will be cancelled when fees have not been paid in full by the due date. Access to all College facilities will be withdrawn, examination results will not be provided, and graduation will not be permitted for students who have fees outstanding Continuing enrolment at the College will not be permitted for students who have outstanding fees. Outstanding fees include non-payment of tuition and sundry charges (eg non-returned library books, fees). 7. Change of Address 7.1 Where a student staying with a Parent Appointed Guardian is changing address whilst enrolled at the College, parents must advise the College in writing of the new details and the reason for the change. 7.2 If the student wishes to change homestay where Eastern Shores International has arranged the homestay, the student should request a change of homestay to Eastern Shores International and apply to the College regarding the reason for the request. Parent approval for any changes to welfare and accommodation arrangements must be received in writing. 7. Notice of Withdrawal 7.1. If the student is to leave the College after commencement of a semester then the parents will give the Principal notice to that effect in writing one full term (half of a semester) prior to the student s withdrawal. 8. Refunds 8.1. Registration and Enrolment Fees are non-refundable, however subject to the College s International Student refund policy 8.2. Uniform costs paid are non-refundable. A facility is available at the College whereby clean uniforms in good condition may be sold on behalf of students Books/Stationery costs are non refundable Health Cover costs are non refundable Should the College cancel any course/training programme students are entitled to full refund or the transfer funds to future training/courses Tuition fees for any course not commenced will be refunded in full provided 4 week s notice of intent has been given in writing Refunds will be given at the discretion of the Principal and in accordance to the College s International Student refund policy Refunds will be paid only to the authorised person who has signed this agreement or, if payment was made via an educational agent, to that agent Refunds must be claimed in writing. 9. Enrolment Requirements The College requires several formal assurances from the parents/guardians of international students before an enrolment is confirmed. These include: 9.1 Sighting of the passport and current Visa. Students are required to bring renewed Visa to the office to be sighted and copied for College files. 9.2 Students enrolled at the College are required to stay with their parents, legal guardian or College approved homestay accommodation during their enrolled period. Important note it is a condition of your acceptance at and your student visa requirements that you stay in College approved accommodation while attending classes. Once you have been placed in a homestay you MAY NOT move to new accommodation without permission from. Changing homestay accommodation without College permission is a breach of College and student visa regulations and may result in cancellation of your student visa. 9.3 Minimum 10 weeks professional English language tuition and enrolment in registered High School Preparation (HSP) course with expectation of satisfactory written results 9.4 A positive personal reference from HSP college and/or previous school

4 9.5 A successful student interview with the Principal or Deputy Principal 9.6 Fees and deposits paid in advance as set out in the Fees Policy & International Student refund policy Miscellaneous The parents are expected to support the philosophical and educational policies of the College The parents acknowledge that the student is required to observe the rules and regulations of the College as may be in force from time to time and must demonstrate a satisfactory level of performance in a majority of subject areas The parents shall provide the College with all information regarding the student including all academic information, current school reports (if any) and all medical and other reports. The parents shall advise the College of any disability or impairment which currently affects the student or which might affect the student in the future. The College reserves its right to request further information regarding the student including all academic information, school reports (if any) and all medical and other reports. The College reserves the right to cancel the enrolment if the College perceives an inability on its part to adequately meet the needs of the student Failure to comply with the above clause shall be considered to be a breach of a fundamental term of this agreement. The Principal shall be the sole arbitrator in determining whether any action or inaction constitutes a breach for the purposes of these fundamental terms. If the Principal decides that a breach has occurred then the enrolment agreement is terminated. Please refer to the College s International Student refund policy The parents acknowledge that the Principal has authority to apply to the student disciplinary measures in accordance with the College Code of Conduct and College Handbook or to terminate this Enrolment Agreement for any cause judged by him/her to be sufficient. If the student is so removed or the Enrolment Agreement is so terminated. Course monies (excluding tuition fees) will be refunded on a pro rata basis proportional to the amount of time the student was studying in the course, except where a non-refundable payment on behalf of the student has been made. Please refer to the International Student refund policy If as a result of irresponsible behaviour the student damages, misplaces or destroys any College property the parents agree to pay the College the cost of repairs or replacement of that property In the event of any medical or other emergency arising involving the student in which the Principal considers it impossible or impractical to communicate to the parents, the parents authorise the Principal to act as he/she may think necessary or expedient The parents liability under the agreement to pay fees and charges and to otherwise comply with the terms and considerations hereof shall for so long as such liability shall exist be a joint and several liability The Principal for specific reasons (of which the Principal is to be the sole judge) may in his/her discretion vary or waive any of the conditions set out in this agreement No waiver whether expressed or implied of any breach of any term or condition or proviso of this agreement shall be construed to be a continuing waiver or consent to any subsequent breach on the part of either party to the agreement. 11. Amendments The College may unilaterally alter any of the terms of this Agreement, such alterations to be effective as of the first day of the first term of the next school year, provided that the College gives notice to the parents of the alteration at least three (3) months prior to the commencement of the new school year. Privacy Policy Information is collected on this form and during your enrolment in order to meet our obligations under the ESOS Act and the National Code 2007; to ensure student compliance with the conditions of their visas and their obligations under n immigration laws generally. The authority to collect this information is contained in the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, the Education Services for Overseas Students Regulations 2001 and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students Information collected about you on this form and during your enrolment can be provided,

5 in certain circumstances, to the n Government and designated authorities and, if relevant, the Tuition Assurance Scheme and the ESOS Assurance Fund Manager. In other instances information collected on this form or during your enrolment can be disclosed without your consent where authorised or required by law. The College also from time to time discloses personal information to others for administrative and educational purposes. This includes to other schools, government departments, medical practitioners and those providing services to the College, including specialist visiting teachers, sports coaches and volunteers. If we do not obtain the information referred to above, we may not be able to enroll or continue the enrolment of your child. On occasion information such as academic and sporting achievements, pupil activities and other news is published in the College newsletters or magazines and may be published on the web site. This agreement and the availability of complaints and appeals processes, does not remove the right of the student to take action under s consumer protection laws.
