1 Admission Notice Date: The Candidates who have passed WBHS or equivalent examination in the years 2016, 2015 and 2014 are hereby informed that Admission to B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com courses in both Honours and General Streams in Darjeeling Govt. College for the year 2016 will be completely online as per instructions from the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal. The necessary information and Instructions are as follows: 1. Eligibility criteria Criteria for Admission B.Sc, B.Com,B.A (Honours) Category General SC/ST/OBC-A / OBC-B Eligibility for Application (i)55% marks in Aggregate or (ii) 50% in Aggregate with 60% in the Subject (i) 50% marks in aggregate or (ii) 45% marks in the aggregate with 60% in the subject Criteria for Admission B.Sc, B.Com,B.A (General) Category General SC/ST/OBC- A/OBC-B Eligibility for Application Passed in Qualifying Examination Passed in Qualifying Examination Candidates who have passed WBHSE or Equivalent in the years However, Candidates who passed HS or equivalent in,2015 and 2014 may also apply. Admission in different courses will be strictly on the basis of merit and availability of seats. 2. In case of any discrepancy found during the verification of original documents the candidature of the concerned applicant will be cancelled 3. Candidates have to be present physically at the time of verification of forms 4. Candidates who may have taken admission to other college have to present Admission Cancellation Certificate at the time of verification of forms 5. Original documents and photocopies to be produced at the time of verification of forms: 1. Printed copy of the duly filled in Application form

Caste/PH Certificate from Appropriate Authority wherever applicable Only after the verification of documents at the college, the students will be eligible to pay the admission fees both online and at SBI Laden La Branch, Darjeeling Candidates who make payment in cash at the concerned SBI Branch will have to report to the Admission office for validation of candidature for admission. Admission of candidates failing to report with the original receipt from the bank to the College will be deemed as cancelled.
