5 Conditions of entry and completion of the course You must read the following conditions carefully. Sign the agreement at the end of the form. 1) Students must be aged 18 or over by the first day of the course for a place on the Pre-sessional English programme. 2) Students must be at the required entry level for the course and supply original evidence of this with their application. 3) All sections of the application form must be completed and submitted. 4) Tuition payments must be paid in full prior to enrolling onto any of the Pre-sessional Programmes. 5) Students who are sponsored must provide an official letter from their sponsors as evidence during the first week. Failure to meet the conditions of the course and/or the sponsorship will result in students being liable for the cost of the course themselves. 6) Prior to beginning study students will be required to complete the online enrolment process agreeing to UCLan s full terms and conditions. UCLan are obliged to inform the UK Home Office about any students who have a PBS visa and who fail to arrive for the start of course. 7) Students attendance will be closely monitored under PBS rules. Please read the information available at the following website: Please note that UCLAN is obliged to inform the UK Home Office if students have poor attendance, withdraw, defer or suspend their studies. 8) Attendance on the Pre-sessional English does NOT mean automatic progression on to your degree programme. 9) Students will be assessed at the end of the course and must achieve the minimum pass mark to complete the course. 10) Students who need to sit re assessment must be available on the given date. This date cannot be negotiated. 11) On completion of the course the student s exam marks and attendance will be sent to the required university schools (for progressing students) and the International Office. 12) Courses will run subject to student numbers. It is important, therefore, that applicants supply a current address with their application.
