2 The University Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) is one of the oldest and largest universities of Chhattisgarh accredited with A grade from NAAC. It was established in 1964 and named after Pt. Ravishankar Shukla, the first Chief Minister of erstwhile Madhya Pradesh. The university has a sprawling campus spread over 300 acres with 27 School of Studies. It caters to the higher education needs of the youths of Chhattisgarh and adjoining states, namely Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The University plays a major role in the educational, cultural and economic life of the region. University Institute of Pharmacy (UIOP) The University Institute of Pharmacy has been ranked at 22nd by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) MHRD. The institute has been awarded consecutively for three years with Dr. Baburam Saxena running trophy for best department of the university. The University Institute of Pharmacy was established with the object of imparting quality education in pharmacy. The Institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate courses and doctoral program in pharmaceutical science under the Faculty of Technology. During the last decade it has established itself as one of the leading centres of education and research in the area of pharmaceutical sciences. The institute is having state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities for the research. It has been successful in achieving and maintaining high level of research activity that has been duly recognized at national and international levels. It has attracted funding from various agencies such as AICTE, UGC, ICMR, CCOST and DST.

3 Raipur The Capital City Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, is the administrative, educational, business and industrial seat of the State. In its immediate neighbourhood lies, Bhilai the steel city of India. To the south of Raipur is the tribal heart of India - Bastar, where the tribal culture, art and philosophy are still preserved in original form along with the natural settings in deep and thick woods. Raipur has a tropical- wet and dry climate. The climate of Raipur is expected to be quite pleasant with a median temperature of about 21oC with highest 28oC during the period of the seminar (15-17 March, 2018). Normal clothing and other outfit will suffice. Raipur is well connected by Air, Rail and Road and can be accessed conveniently from most of the cities of India. With the advancements in the scientific knowledge and technology in a wide range of disciplines, scholars have become increasingly aware of the need to link various disciplinary fields to more fully answer critical questions, or to facilitate application of knowledge in a specific area. The recognition of new findings stimulate a steady growing interest within the scientific community in developing new knowledge through research that combines the skills and perspectives of multiple disciplines. This may be in part a parallel of the wider societal interest in holistic perspectives that do not reduce human experience to a single dimension of descriptors, and to awareness that a number of extremely important and productive fields of study are themselves interdisciplinary. The interdisciplinary research is now essential for scientists working on drug discovery and development as it is a diverse field and requires variety of expertise.
