14 Survey Findings (cont d) Summary of Findings (Non Credit Faculty) As can be seen from the tables on the previous 6 pages, the current salary ranges for SDCCD vary significantly in terms of competitiveness relative to other community colleges and school districts. However, when these two different groups are considered as an All Participant group, there is less significance in the variance Hay Group. All rights reserved.
15 Recommendations Recommendations In conducting the salary surveys, two key questions were considered and answered: What market? For what jobs? In developing recommendations, a third key question needs to be considered based on the data collected in the survey, that is: At what level in the market does SDCCD wish to target its competitiveness? Based on discussions with SDCCD, Hay is not aware of a policy position statement. Accordingly, for purposes of our recommendations, we have assumed a market target of the average of the comparator market Hay Group. All rights reserved.
16 Recommendations (cont d) Recommendations Full-Time Non Credit Faculty Based on the assumption of a policy position set at the average, we recommend the following: Increase the overall schedule (for both Associate Professor and Professor) by 3%. Eliminate the use of the first three steps of the Salary Structure (we recommend that they be kept on the schedule but be shaded for non-use) Hay Group. All rights reserved.
17 Recommendations (cont d) Recommendations Part-Time Non Credit Faculty No changes are recommended Hay Group. All rights reserved.
