2 About the College Government Arts and Science College,Kondotty, established in 2013, has made a mark of its own by constructively interfering in the educational, social and cultural uplift of the society around for the past five years. The college, affiliated to the University of Calicut, currently offers 5 Undergraduate programs and 2 Postgraduate programs. The college is located at Vilayil, CheekodeGrammapanchayat of Malappuram District of Kerala. It is about 12 KMs away from Kondotty town. Department of Commerce offers B.Com with Computer Applications and plays an active part in all the programs being conducted at the College. Concept Note Economic growth of a nation depends on the performance and growth of capital market. Security market regulation, its evolution and the challenges faced by it have become an important domain of interest and debate. The recent studies show that the debt market and derivative market are playing vital roles in the growth of the Indian financial system. The seminar proposes to create a sound awareness of the latest trends, legal issues and major challenges in capital market. Moreover, the seminar intends to examine the different dimensions of the capital market among the intermediaries, mutual funds etc. With these objectives in mind the department of commerce conducts one day national seminar on Recent Investment Strategies in Capital Market.
