8 Consortia in ETN and EJD Consortium of at least 3 beneficiaries from different MS/AS and optional further partner organisations from Europe or abroad Recommendation of the EU: 6-10 beneficiaries (from the academic and non-academic sector) Beneficiary has to employ Early Stage Researcher (ESR) Duration of employment: 3-36 months Maximum: 540 person months (15 ESR for 36 months each) Beneficiary Partner Organisation Signatory of the grant agreement Innovative Training Networks (ITN) Employs PhD Students (full time work contract subject to social security contribution) Innovative Trains and teaches Training Networks (ITN) Receives funding from the EU Non-signatory of the grant agreement Trains and teaches Hosts the ESR for secondments (3-6 months) Does not receive direct funding from the EU

9 European Industrial Doctorate Consortium consists of at least two beneficiaries, one from the academic and one from the non-academic sector from different MS/AS One academic beneficiary must award doctoral degrees Obligatory joint supervision of the ESR from both sectors ESR: at least 50% of the employment must be fulfilled in the non-academic sector Funding: Two beneficiaries Maximum of 180 person months More than two beneficiaries Maximum of 540 person months

12 Research and Innovation Staff Exchange At least 3 institutions from 3 different countries, at least 2 of them from MS/AS If all institutions are from the same sector, at least one must be located in a Third Country Secondments of staff: 1-12 months (splitting is possible) Mandatory: staff members must have been actively engaged in or linked to the sending institution for 6 months before the first secondment + reintegration after the seconement Allowed secondments between MS/AS: intersectoral between MS/AS and TC: innersectoral and intersectoral Funding: max. 540 person months for a max. of 4 years
