IIM Lucknow delivers a wide range of long term post graduate educational programmes in management such as: Post Graduate Programme in Management, (PGPM) Post Graduate Programme in Agri-Business (PGP-ABM) Post Graduate Programme in Sustainable Management (PGP-SM) One-year residential International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) Three-year part-time programme in management for executives also known as Working Manager's Programme (WMP). NOIDA CAMPUS The Noida Campus of IIML is evolving as a leading center in the area of executive education, research, industry interaction and training. The campus has evolved from the IIML mission, with a focus on mid-career, executive level management education, training, research and dissemination. The WMP is the first long term programme launched at Noida Campus to leverage IIML's resources for catalysing change through intensive mid-career longer term educational programmes. The IPMX is also based at Noida Campus. PGP-SM, a recently introduced post-graduate programme with special focus on sustainability, is also based in the Noida Campus. CAMPUS LIFE

3 Executive Fellow Programme in Management Asapart of the mission of Noida campus, IIM Lucknow announced the Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM) for working professionals in November Programme Objectives The EFPM is a part time, non-residential, doctoral program that has been specifically designed to cater to the academic needs of working professionals. The objective of the EFPM is to prepare students for careers not only in management research and teaching but also in management practice, consulting and training in a formal setting. Being a part-time course, students can do these while continuing to be engaged in their on going professions/ businesses. Specifically, the programme intends to: a. Strike a balance between management practice and theory that will give one the power to advance in senior management, initiate a consulting practice, or launch an academic career. b. Bridge the industry-academia gap. c. Encourage relevant research on contemporary management issues. d. Develop theory and practice of management that benefit contemporary business world. On successful completion of the programme, students would be awarded the Executive Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. Eligibility The candidates for the programme should have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of the Parliament of India or declared to be deemed as a university under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE. A Masters' degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 55% aggregate marks (or, its equivalent in terms of CGPA). OR A CA, ICWA, CS or equivalent degree with a minimum 55% aggregate marks (for Finance area) In addition, (1) All candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks in all their public examinations starting with the secondary level. (2) They should be currently employed in full time job. Admission Selection Process Applicants who fulfil above eligibility criteria would be required to have valid test score of CAT/ GRE/ GMAT/ GATE and JRF/NET (UGC/CSIR).

Applicants who have already obtained PGDM equivalent degree (PGP/IPMX/WMP) from any IIM or AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS accredited educational Institutes in India and abroad (with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10.

Applicants who are MBAs from non-accredited educational Institutes but have at least one research publication in a journal of category C and above as per ABDC (Australian Business Deans Council)

4 Admission Selection Process Applicants who fulfil above eligibility criteria would be required to have valid test score of CAT/ GRE/ GMAT/ GATE and JRF/NET (UGC/CSIR). Scores of any of these examinations taken during the last two years (i.e., after 01 April, 2016) would be considered valid. Applicants who have already obtained PGDM equivalent degree (PGP/IPMX/WMP) from any IIM or AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS accredited educational Institutes in India and abroad (with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10.0 point scale) would be exempted from this test score requirement. Applicants who are MBAs from non-accredited educational Institutes but have at least one research publication in a journal of category C and above as per ABDC (Australian Business Deans Council) rating are also exempted from the test score requirement. Applicants who have published research papers before are advised to visit the relevant ABDC webpage ( click Download Master Journal List, check the ratings of the journals in which their research papers are published and, fill the data entry form accordingly. Candidates having PGDM equivalent degree from IIMs or AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS accredited educational Institutes are eligible to apply directly to the 2nd year of EFPM program. Similarly, candidates having PGDM equivalent degree from non-accredited institutions but having valid test scores in the list of examinations mentioned above are also eligible to apply directly to the second year of the programme. Candidates, who are appearing for CAT / GRE / GMAT/GATE and JRF/NET (UGC/CSIR), may fill in relevant parts of EFPM application form and provide in EFPM admission application information on these tests. All application form will be screened by separate screening committees. The candidates short-listed on the basis of their academic record and performance in the competitive examinations mentioned above will be called to any one of IIM Lucknow campuses (Lucknow / Noida) for personal interview in May/June Successful candidates will receive offers and the program is expected to start by the middle of July Format & Structure The program structure is as academically rigorous as a PhD but is designed for senior, experienced professional managers/teaching professionals and is highly applicable with in their specific sector and career. The programme has the following components: a. Mandatory Course work b. Comprehensive Examination c. Formulation of thesis proposal for Doctoral level research d. Thesis Submission and Defence EFPM is a Doctoral Programme for full time working executives/managers/teaching professionals/researchers

Duration of the Programme and Accommodation For candidates who are admitted in the first year of the programme, first year course work will be held together with students of WMP (Working Managers

For exempted candidates who are directly admitted to the second year, three campus visits of 21 days duration each are needed to finish the course work during one year.

The modules may be held either in Lucknow or in the Noida campus of the Institute.

5 Duration of the Programme and Accommodation For candidates who are admitted in the first year of the programme, first year course work will be held together with students of WMP (Working Managers Programme). The dates and schedules of these classes will be announced by the WMP Office and all non-exempted selected candidates will be advised to attend them. For exempted candidates who are directly admitted to the second year, three campus visits of 21 days duration each are needed to finish the course work during one year. Classes for these candidates will be held in three modules respectively in July/August 2018, November/December 2018 and April/May The modules may be held either in Lucknow or in the Noida campus of the Institute. During campus visits, the fee payable for boarding and lodging facility will be recovered from the candidates on actual basis. The fee will be intimated before the commencement of term by the EFPM office. EFPM is a part-time non-residential programme. The student is expected to complete the programme ordinarily in four years (three years in case of exempted candidates) and a maximum of six years (five years in case of exempted candidates). Under special circumstances, students are eligible to get one-time extension of one year and if they fail to complete the programme, their registration will be terminated. It may be noted that the admission in the academic year is open only for candidates who qualify for exemption. Thus, during the academic year , no fresh offers will be made to candidates who do not qualify for exemption. System of Evaluation A 10-point letter grade scale from A+ (10 Points) to F (0 point) is finally used in each course to measure academic performance. At the end of each term/module a Term Grade Point Average (TGPA) to reflect the Term performance and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as a composite index to reflect the cumulative performance of a student up to that Term are calculated. There are three to four credits of course work in each term. At the end of first academic year, and subsequently at the end of each Term, a student's academic performance must be above the minimum required CGPA to be eligible for promotion to the next year or module/term. Course Fee At the time of admission, a non-refundable acceptance fee of Rs.50,000/- will be paid by all candidates. The detailed course fee breakup (excluding the acceptance fee of Rs. 50,000/-) across years is provided below: Year Non Exempted Year 1 2,00, Year 2 1,50, Year 3 1,00, Year 4 1,00,000.00

6 Thus, for non-exempted candidates who fulfill all the requirements of the program in time, the total course fee works out to be Rs.6,00,000/-. For exempted candidates who join directly to Year 2 of the program, the total course fee works out to be Rs.4,00,000/-, provided they satisfy all the requirements of the programme within the stipulated time. It may be noted that (1) The above cost does not include boarding & lodging during campus visits. These costs will be recovered from the candidates on the basis of actuals. (2) The above fees do not include taxes which are to be paid by the candidates in addition to the fees mentioned. (3) After Year 4, if all the requirements of the programme are not fulfilled by the candidate, then he/she will pay Rs.50,000 per year as course fee for all subsequent years. VIEW OF MR. VIKRAM BATRA The first EFPM Scholar who completed all academic formalities. Being a part of the pioneering batch of the EFPM program at IIM Lucknow, has been a challenging, yet personally fulfilling experience. It gave me the opportunity to work on real industry situations, with the rigour and systematic structure of academic research. The best parts of this journey were those 'eureka' moments which suddenly lit up the path ahead. It was an amazing feeling while devising a totally new approach, or finding a unique solution to the problem. It was challenging to balance research work with a corporate career, but I am thankful for the guidance from my thesis advisor and the encouragement from my family, which enabled me to complete my doctoral thesis within 4 years.
