General Engineering Course Request Group Advising Target Audience: First Year General Engineering Students Hosted By: General Engineering Undergraduate Advising

How do I Register for my Spring Classes? Every time you see this symbol, you should be writing things down!

Course Registration Overview Class registration is accomplished in two phases: Phase 1: Course Request October 16 - October 24 Phase 2: Drop/Add November 24 January 28

Phase 1: Course Request Course Request dates: October 16 - October 24 Course Request is your opportunity to inform the university of the specific courses you would like to take. Courses are not automatically awarded during this phase and you are not guaranteed to get all of the courses or the specific times requested. This phase is designed to ensure the departments are planning to offer enough seats in courses to accommodate the demand.

Phase 2: Drop/Add Drop/Add dates: November 24 January 28 Drop/Add is your opportunity to finalize your class schedule. You will build on the courses you received by completing Course Request and ultimately finalize your spring schedule in this live system.

Resolve any holds on your account You cannot submit a course request if you have a hold on your account. Verify that you do not have any administrative holds on your Hokie Spa account: Hokie Spa Hokie Wallet Administrative Holds If you are unable to complete Course Request, you will attempt to add all of your courses during the Drop/Add period (provided the hold has been removed at that time).

How do I Know What Classes I Should Add? Every time you see this symbol, you should be writing things down!

Graduation Checksheets Graduation Checksheets act as a suggested plan of study and are updated each year. The 2020 checksheets are the most current requirements (these are requirements for students graduating in 2020)

How can I access these Checksheets? Go to: Scroll down to Announcements on the right side of the page Click: Checksheets (Graduation Requirements)
