13 General Entry Requirements ENTRY REQUIREMENTS, SEPTEMBER 2017 A minimum of Grade C (or Grade 4 in the reformed subjects) in at least five GCSE subjects including Mathematics and English Language). Most A Level subjects require a Grade B or above in the subject at GCSE (for most subjects not offered in Year 11, a Grade 5 in English Language is required). Many subjects do have additional requirements details are available from the Bingley Grammar School website. The school will also take into consideration an applicant s overall profile before agreeing to them studying any particular set of subjects.

14 Level 3: Choosing the right course You have been good at and have enjoyed the subject in the past. You need this subject to enter a particular career or course. You have not studied the subject before but you have looked into it and think it will suit your strengths. 2 further considerations when choosing your subjects: Make sure you get your facts straight. There are many misconceptions about subjects required for courses and careers Don t take an uninformed risk. What is the subject actually about?
