11 What is the Teaching Professions Academy? TPA is a 2-year program Students take 5 courses: Child and Adolescent Development Curriculum and Instruction Classroom Management Education Principles + Education and Training Capstone (Seniors - 2 Semesters)

First 3 Courses (Junior or Senior Year) Introductory classes where students learn about culture, history, issues, philosophies and methods of education Lots of cooperative and

Use of technology and other resources in the classroom. Field Trips to local colleges like Miami and UC to explore the field of education
