9 Eligibility: Criteria for selection: A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects namely: i) Physical Sciences ii) Biological or Natural Sciences A candidate under general category for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course, must have passed in each of the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to the SC/ST marks prescribed shall be 10% less than that prescribed for general category( i.e., 40% ) Age: The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in the EAMCET-2013 in their respective local areas from out of the merit lists prepared for this purpose. The candidates will be selected based on merit, presidential order, region and social status. In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the EAMCET, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination shall be taken into consideration. In case of a further tie, the age of the candidate shall be taken into consideration. The candidates for admission to these courses shall be required to have completed 17 years of age on 31 st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates and 27 years for Physically Challenged candidates. Reservation of seats for the candidates coming from families of Agriculturist cum Rural Area (Farmers Quota) : Forty per cent (40%) of the seats in the ANGRAU & Dr.YSRHU and 25% in SVVU are reserved for candidates coming from families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owing not less than 3 acres of land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the candidates and who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas. If the land is owned by grandfather, grandmother or guardian or any other relations is not acceptable.
