2 1. VISION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMISSION TO COURSES (SESSION ) I. Graduation forms a very important stage in the life of a child. Apart from intellectual development, at this stage student acquires specific skills and traits which are essential for his/her placement in society. It is important that student should get quality and meaningful education during these three crucial years. I 2. MISSION We have seen in vast number of cases that a student is doing graduation merely to get a degree without /little any role in final placement. The situation is further complicated in a scenario when the child/parents feel helpless with no alternative choices. IGC aims at providing an alternative to conventional graduation by making available a 3 year course. Our mission is to provide complete career enhancement and civil services solution to budding aspirants. We believe in having a student centric approach with high ethical values & commitment. V. We aspire to be an institution of excellence with best use of technology & teaching expertise with nationwide presence for the benefit of students at large. 3. ABOUT THE COURSE I. It s a unique course initiated by the Abhimanu experts, in which students are enrolled in 3 years graduation cum career enhancement and civil services preparation simultaneously. I We train the candidate to face competitive exam along with the assistance in formal graduation program. This integrated programme is designed in a way, to provide them benefits of completing graduation and get coaching for India s prestigious UPSC exam. In three years the student is groomed in a holistic manner to gain expertise in the subject area, as well as to master the knack of cracking the IAS exam. 4. ELIGIBILITY - RECOMMENDED GRADUATION V. The weekdays regular programme is open to those who students who after +2 choose to do graduation through correspondence instead of regular college based graduation. In this way Abhimanu provides an opportunity for a proper full time engagement of the student towards career enhancement. VI. Weekend programme is open to those students who intend to do regular graduation though a college.

Concessions are given to economically weaker sections. A well-stocked library is maintained at center where the students can sit and study in peaceful environment 6. GENERAL INFORMATION:- I. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the Regulations/Rules issued by the Abhimanu Visions (E) Pvt Ltd. The instructions given in this document should in particular be adhered to while making admission for the session The list of all such candidates selected for admission/waiting list be displayed on the Notice Board of Chandigarh Centre. I The admission forms should have separate columns for Father s and Mother s names. The name of mother and father should be mentioned in all records. However, in case some students do not wish to declare the name of both the parents (either of mother or father) they may not be insisted upon and no one be denied admission on this ground. Where the numbers of the seats are fixed, the total number of students admitted to a particular class must not exceed 60 seats sanctioned by the management. For admission, fraction of marks less than the requisite percentage would not be rounded off to the advantage of the candidates, i.e. 49.9% shall not be rounded off to 50% etc. V. Permission of the Managing Director, Abhimanus is necessary for admission after the expiry of the last date.

A student whose result of +2 examinations in February/March conducted by a School Board is published late, but not later than 30th August, 2015 may be admitted without late fee within 15 working days of the declaration of the result and his/her attendance shall be counted from the date of admission. 7. GENERAL CONDITIONS REGARDING ELIGIBILITY: - I. It must be ensured that the examination passed by a candidate on the basis of which he/she is seeking admission to the Course is recognized by any University. For I Only eligible candidates be admitted to the course concerned. +2 examination securing at least 50% marks in aggregate; Any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent to (a) as given above with requisite percentage of marks. 8. TOTAL NUMBER AND RESERVATION OF SEATS: I. The total seats for which applications are invited are 400. Maximum Number of seats per section is fixed at 60. I The reservation of seats shall be governed by the Minutes of Meeting conducted by board of directors dated 12/5/2015. SC 5, ST-5, Physically handicapped-5, Economically weaker sections (BPL)-5 V. In the event of non filling of such seats the same may be filled by general category students. 9. ADMISSION PROCEDURE STEP: 1 BASIC COUNSELLING OF THE STUDENT AND PARENTS o At Abhimanus we believe that every child is precious and his/her career decisions should be motivated by adequate information. o Identifying Hidden talent in the child. o Clarification of the course and clearing of doubts. o Basic inclination of student through an interview. o Basic interview of Parents/guardians. 10. ADMISSION PROCEDURE STEP-II REGISTRATION IN PAT (PROVISIONAL ADMISSION) I. For PAT registrations between 1st Dec to 31 st March Registration fee of Rs 10000/- o Rs 7500 refundable in case of non qualifying for admission o Rs 5000 in case of change of mind or non appearance in the PAT exam. o Refund will be made between 10 th 20 th may I Weekend lecture/motivation/counseling session at o Chandigarh head office. o PAT lectures may be attended by online mode at our branches. Classes will include o Checking students interest/attitude for the course

5 o Basic news paper reading skills and habit formation. o Building of general awareness o Information about various careers 11. ADMISSION PROCEDURE STEP-III DATES AND SYLLABUS FOR PRE ADMISSION TEST V. PAT test on 8 th may for IGC in Chandigarh only. o Syllabus of PAT test will include Candidate s general awareness about Social, economic, geographical and political aspects of India. ( 30 questions) Aware about civil services examination and about various services. ( 5 questions) English vocab and Grammar ( 15 questions) o There will be 50 questions carrying 2 marks each. Questions will be in multiple choice format. No negative marking. o Duration of test will I Hour. Timing will be notified by 30 th April, ADMISSION PROCEDURE STEP-IV FINAL ADMISSION AND BATCH ALLOCATION 13. FEE o Total number of seats 350 only - o Deposition of fee after qualifying exam: 10 th to 20 th may 2016 o After admission the regular classes will be conducted in Chandigarh. o Start of IGCM1/M2/M3: June 2016, IGCE1/E2/E3 starting July, 2016, IGCW1/W2- starting Aug, o First year : June/Dec Jan, Jan July I. Semester Fee : 45000/- per semester for IGC ( Weekdays regular course) I Yearly Fees: /- per year for IGC ( weekend course) Fee refund is not possible and shall not be applied for. Service will be charged extra. 14. CONCESSION/EXEMPTION OF FEE I. Exemption of 100% for student belonging to below poverty line I 15. CLASS SCHEDULE 10% fee concession to students belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and physically handicapped. No two concessions can be availed simultaneously Concession only on fee, all eligibility criteria to be satisfied by the candidate. I. Timing of the classes will be notified before the start of the course, I There will be semester/yearly break. Abhimanu will conduct its own semester exams & only qualified candidates will be allowed to sit in the next semester. A certificate and mark sheet will issued formally.

6 Students who fail the semester exam will get only one chance to clear the exam otherwise the admission to next semester will be withheld. 16. SEMESTER PATTERN I. Abhimanu will dedicate four months study for civil services syllabus and one month for university semester exams to provide assistance to the students for the same. There will be semester break after the exams of every semester. Abhimanu will provide the criteria for semester exams of each covered syllabus of civil services. Those students who will not qualify the semester are not allowed to sit in the next semester ofabhi-edge without clearing those subjects.
