2 Dr. NTR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, ANDHRA PRADESH, VIJAYAWADA REGULATIONS FOR ADMISSION INTO MBBS & BDS COURSES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR REGULATIONS: 1. The following are the Regulations for exercising web options for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses in all the Medical and Dental Colleges under Competent Authority Quota seats i.e., the seats remaining after contributing of 15% to National Pool (AIQ) in Government Medical/Dental Colleges and Category A seats - 50% of Intake in Private Un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Medical and Dental Colleges under Dr. NTR UHS, Vijayawada including the seats in special categories and also 105 seats in Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women (under SVIMS), Tirupati for the academic year The Eligible candidates who have got verified their certificates can exercise their options for web counselling at as per the seat matrix displayed in the website / and from 9.00 AM on to AM on List of Medical and Dental Colleges for exercising web options is given at ANNEXURE-1 NOTE: a) The distribution of seats among various categories, University Area wise for admission into MBBS and BDS Courses will be displayed on UHS web site b) In case any new Medical Colleges or Dental Colleges are affiliated to the University / any college is permitted by the Govt. of India for the academic year , the seats in those colleges also will be filled up. If any colleges are not permitted by Government of India for the year , the seats in that college will not be filled. 3. PROCEDURE TO EXERCISE WEB OPTIONS: Do's and Don'ts Do not use mobiles and tablets to exercise the options. Use only computers. Check college codes thoroughly before entering options Write college codes in the order of preference on a white paper before entering into web. Do not select colleges which you are not interested.

3 Use Internet Explorer Version 11 for exercising web options. Avoid using slow internet facility. Allotments will be made in the order of preference of options and exercise utmost care while entering options. A candidate can exercise any number of options. Allotments will be made in the Merit order Allotment made in the web counselling is final and cannot be altered under any circumstances. Therefore only such colleges and courses that candidate will join without any hesitation should be chosen. Convenor is not responsible for any technical or human errors from client side (Student side) while exercising options. Keep your mobile with you while exercising options and do not block SMS. 1. Open the website Home page displayed as follows. 2. Click on the Web Options link for Exercising options. 3. Instructions to candidate window will be displayed as follows.

4 4. Read the instructions carefully, then click I Understood button. 5. Enter the details NEET Roll Number, NEET Rank, Registered Mobile Number and Registration number of your AP NEET Application as shown in the option form and click on getopt Button to get Login OPT after receiving the OPT enter it in the OPT Box in Capitals and click on Submit button. 6. Option form will be displayed as shown below with colleges on the left side. This window displays all the eligible colleges based on gender and specialization.

5 Two types of filters are available to minimize the selection list. The first filter is college code and another filter is District-wise. If you Type one of the Alphabets in college filter box, for example P is typed, then the college codes starting with alphabet P will be displayed If you select Krishna District in the District combo box, the list of colleges available in Krishna district alone will be displayed. Select the college on left window and click on Add button to add college to the right side window as option number one. Then next one will be added as second option and so on. The priority of options is displayed on the right side window. You can modify the priority of options by clicking on the Modify button. Select an option, drag it to the required place and drop. Automatically the option will be moved to the new location and the priority numbers will be renumbered. (OR) Select the option and press the UP/DOWN arrow buttons present in between the tables to move up/down one level. Select an option and Click the Delete button, then the option will be deleted from the selected list. After satisfying with the selected list of colleges and their priorities, click on Save button and enter the password (OTP) which you have received by SMS through the virtual key board available on the screen and click Confirm button, then the selected options are saved in the Server for processing, and the saved options will be displayed in printed format. Take a print and verify thoroughly the colleges and their priority.

7 7. The options exercised will be closed at the specified time on the last date specified for web options in the notification. 8. The options registered in the server will be frozen automatically on the last day specified in the notification and shall be used for seat allotment. 9. The options will be processed on the dates specified and the results will be communicated through SMS message to the registered mobile number, which you have provided and you can also take a print of the provisional allotment order from the Website after paying the University Fee of Rs.9700/- (Nine Thousand Seven Hundred only) for both MBBS/BDS courses through online and report to the allotted college on or before the date specified in the allotment letter. 4. PROCEDURE OF SELECTIONS: 1 Selections will be made through Web Options and allotments are also will be made by the Competent Authority i.e., Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. 2 Selections will be made by the selection committee appointed by Vice- Chancellor, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. Selections are Course wise. 3 Reservations shall also be University Area Wise. While allotting the candidates to the colleges, the percentage of reservations shall be maintained in each institution as far as possible. 4 The 15% of unreserved Seats will be filled First, then the 85% of the local seats will be filled as per the G.O.Ms. No. 42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated The selections shall be in four rounds (all rounds will be done simultaneously) a. In the first round, OC seats will be filled up. b. In the second round, the reserved category candidates selected under OC category shall be reallotted to the college of their preference depending upon availability of seats in the respective category and their eligibility.

8 c. In the third round, the selection and allotment shall be made for all the vacant seats in all categories after second round. Round II and III will be done simultaneously. For every resultant vacancy in the above rounds it checks from the first candidate in the list for eligible candidate. 6. The Unfilled seats under PH quota will be converted to General and added to respective categories and filled in the 1st Phase of Web counselling, since the seats under special categories are Horizontal Reservation. 7. If a candidate is eligible for a same type of seat in the same course and in same college both under the reserved categories of social status and under Army / NCC / PH / Sports & Games, he / she will be selected under the category of social status only. The candidates provisionally selected into one college will be considered for resultant vacancies in another college only. The allotment of college to the NCC and Sports & Games candidates shall be by rotation. 8. The seats unfilled in the first phase of counseling and any vacancies arise due to non-reporting of the candidates selected in the first phase of counseling, will be filled in the second phase of counseling. The vacancy position will be displayed in the university website one day before the date of exercising options. 9. Candidates while giving options should note that the seats vacated by the candidates selected in first and subsequent web counseling will be added & allotted simultaneously in the respective counselings. 10. Candidates are considered for admission only for such categories for which they claim reservation by documents. 5. Allotment orders: Selected candidates have to download the Provisional Admission Order from the Website: by paying University Fee Rs. 9700/- (Nine Thousand Seven hundred only) through online and report at the concerned college on or before the date specified in the Provisional Admission Order. No individual intimations will be sent separately. 6. Tuition Fee: Rs.11,576/- as per G.O.Ms.No.30 & 31, HM & FW., (C1) Department, dated of the Government of Andhra Pradesh for Government, Private Un-aided Non-Minority and Private Un-aided

9 Minority Medical and Dental Colleges. The Tuition fee has to be paid at the allotted college at the time of joining. Candidates selected for Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, Tirupati have to visit SVIMS website for tuition fee and other fee details to be paid at College. 7. If any further selection conducted by the University the resultant vacancies shall be open to all the candidates who have not joined the course and the candidates who have not exercised web options in the earlier phases. The resultant vacancies of those who have not joined the course or vacated the seat shall be filled by the candidates belonging to the same category of the seat. 8. All the candidates selected should undergo Medical Examination as directed by the Head of the Institution concerned. The admission of the candidates shall be subject to their fitness in the Medical examination. 9. If the candidates selected in the earlier phase of counselings have exercised options in the next phase and allotted a seat such candidates will forfeit their allotment of seat in the earlier phase of counselling automatically. 10. The option exercised one time will not be applicable to further rounds of web counselings for the same course. 11. CANCELLATION OF SEAT: 1 If any candidate, who is provisionally selected into MBBS/BDS courses for the academic year , intends to cancel his / her seat one day before the last date for exercising web options of MOP-UP counselling has to submit his request in writing to reach the Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada through the Principal of the Concerned College. The request should reach the Registrar of the University one day before the last date for exercising web options of MOP-UP counselling. 2 No candidate, who is provisionally selected and joined into MBBS/BDS courses for the academic year , will be permitted to cancel the seat or withdraw from the course after the MOP-UP counselling up to 15 th September, If any candidate, who is provisionally selected and joined into MBBS/BDS courses for the academic year , intends to cancel the seat after 15 th September, 2018 has to pay Rs.3,00,000/- for MBBS and Rs.1,00,000/- for BDS to the University towards cancellation fee, by way of DD drawn in favour of Registrar, Dr. NTR UHS, Vijayawada, for cancellation of his/her seat and also forfeit the University fee and Tuition fee which was paid.

10 12. CLOSURE OF ADMISSION: The admission shall be closed as per MCI/DCI Schedule. 13. POWERS OF THE SELECTION / ADMISSION COMMITTEE: The Selection Committee shall have the power to revise its decision in any case and to direct the Principal concerned to take further action either to select or to cancel the selection or to admit or cancel the admission before the closure of admissions. Selections shall not be questioned after closure of admissions. 14. POWERS OF THE PRINCIPAL: Not withstanding anything contained in the these regulations, the Principal of the College may at any time either suomoto or on an application made by any person, after due and proper enquiry, if satisfied that the candidate has furnished incorrect information or enclosed false certificates or fraudulently obtained admission, may for the reason to be recorded in writing by order cancel his admission, provided that no such admission shall be cancelled without giving a reasonable opportunity of showing cause as to why his / her admission should not be cancelled. 15. POWERS OF THE Dr. NTR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES: The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, may either suomoto or on an application made to them, call for and examine the records relating to any selection or admission or cancellation thereof in respect of the admission made by the concerned authority, for the purpose of satisfying themselves as to the correctness of legality or propriety of such selection or cancellation and pass such order in relation there to as they deem fit including cancellation of the selection already published or admission already made, provided that the University may, before cancelling such selection or admission, give an opportunity to the authority and to the person affected to show cause against such cancellation. 16. BREAK OF STUDY: THE REGULATIONS FOR RE-ADMISSION AFTER BREAK OF STUDY FOR ALL THE UNDER GRADUATE DEGREE COURSES IN MEDICAL AND DENTAL, INDIAN MEDICINE AND HOMEOPATHY AND ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCE COURSES OFFERED BY Dr. NTR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, VIJAYAWADA. The regulation is subject to modification by the Standing Academic Board from time to time. 1. DEFINITIONS:

11 i) Break of study means any absence more than 90 days during the course of study. ii) 3 months for this purpose is a period of 90 days (ninety days) to be recorded from the date of absence irrespective of the number of days in one calendar month. iii) For all practical purpose only two types of break of study is allowed. a) Less than 3 months of break (as per definitions) b) More than 3 months of break but less than the twice the number of years of study of a particular course. Ex: For MBBS/BDS twice the number of years of study is 9 years. For B.Sc(Nursing) / Physiotherapy 8 years. iv. If the candidate is on Break study for two spells in an academic year of a particular course the candidate is deemed to have been discharged from the course of study. One cannot apply for condonation of the break. v. Only two spells of break of study for the entire duration of the course is permitted. During second spell of break of study even if the break up study is less than 90 days, permission must be obtained from the university and that spell of Break shall also be counted as second spell of break. vi. For less than three months of break, the Principal/ Dean of the college can permit to rejoin to the course under intimation to the university. vii. If the break up study is more than three months the candidate has to apply to the university through the Dean/Principal of the college. The University can give permission to the candidate to complete the course within twice the years of the study of the particular course. 17. RE-ADMISSION RULES: PROCEDURE FOR REJOINING INTO UNDER GRADUATE DEGREE COURSES IN MEDICINE, /DENTAL, INDIAN MEDICINE & HOMOEOPATHY AND ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCE COURSES. i. The candidate having a break of study for more than three months but less than twice years of the course shall apply for rejoining the course in the prescribed form by remitting the stipulated fee for condonation of Break of Study to the University.

12 Request to readmission: Specific remarks of the Principal about the absence period with an undertaking from the student that he/she is not involved in criminal cases during the absence period during the absence period. If any candidate is permitted by the Dean/Principal of the college concerned without the prior permission from this University, to rejoin the course after the break of study the period of such study shall not be considered as a recognized study and the candidate shall not be permitted to write the University examination based on such study period. When the candidate is readmitted into the course and shall after fulfilment of the Regulations of this University to the course concerned to admitted to the examinations. ii. The period of break of study of the candidate for rejoining the course shall be calculated from the date of first discontinuance of the course. iii. All the Under Graduate students have to execute a declaration at the time of registration which this University in this regard in the prescribed form. 18. VACATION: The vacation for the students is 30 days per academic year. The vacation should be declared by the Principal in phased manner at the discretion of the Principal taking into consideration two weeks of summer vacation and remaining period for religious festivals.
