8 Deadlines!!!! UC application available online now. October 1 st - CSU application available online. November 30 th all applications are due. DO NOT wait for the last minute! Fees: UC $70 per campus CSU $55 per campus Private Colleges/Universities have varying due dates.

9 More Deadlines!! SAT/ACT due dates - December is the last date for UC/CSU. October is the deadline for all impacted CSU campuses. On Wednesday, October 19 th ALL VPHS seniors will be taking the SAT with essay- paid for by the district.

10 More Deadlines!! If you apply to private schools please request your letters of recommendation from your counselor ASAP- PLEASE give us at least two weeks notice! Check scholarship deadlines on a regular basis.

12 TRANSCRIPTS UC/CSU due July 1, 2017 Send only one final transcript! Common App Schools If you apply for college using the Common App, counselors will submit your current transcript as they complete your letter of recommendation and your mid-year transcript report later. YOU must submit your final transcript. Can ONLY be sent electronically through

13 Personal Insight Questions- UC You will have 8 questions to choose from. You choose 4 of the 8 questions to respond to. Each response is limited to a maximum 350 words There is no right or wrong way to answer these questions: It s about getting to know your personality, background, interests and achievement in your own unique voice. Type in a word document and cut and paste into application - use the word counter. Timer will log out without saving your work.

14 Writing Requirements Each private college/university has their own essay prompt. CSU There is no essay for the application

15 Financial Aid You may start completing the FAFSA on October 1, FAFSA workshop on November 8th 8:00-3:00pm in VPHS Library. Sign up in Counseling Office. Cal Grant apps are completed electronically VPHS.
