NOIDA 27 th October 2016 Workshop on "ABCD to achieve your dreams" ISTE Student Chapter of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized one day workshop on ABCD to achieve your dreams conducted by Dr. Anil Sethi - a renowned expert & philosopher on 24th August 2016 for the first year B.Tech CSE students. The Program was coordinated by Ms. Anuja Sahani, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied and Humanities, DGI, Greater Noida.Session was started with welcome speech of Prof. S.K. Bagga, Director, DGI, Greater Noida. The objective of the workshop was self-realization of inner self & respect to elders.

3 Workshop on Cloud Computing on Amazon web services Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a workshop on Cloud Computing on amazon web services under the banner of CSI Chapter on 03 rd September Mr. Aurbind Sharma, Founder & CMD, TED Consulting conducted the session. The objective of the workshop was to offer a comprehensive knowledge about cloud computing and its competitiveness to increase opportunities for students in software industry.53 students from B. Tech 1st Year attended the workshop. Workshop on "ABCD to achieve your dreams " Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized one day workshop on ABCD to achieve your dreams conducted by Dr. Anil Sethi- a renowned expert & philosopher on 05 September 2016 for first year B.Tech ECE/EEE/CSIT/IT/CE students. The event started with various real life examples that enabled the students to enhance their personal effectiveness. Dr. Sethi emphasized the value and importance of parents who work as torch bearers in guiding the lives of their wards. He also motivated the students to apply a principle centered approach to maintain work life balance. The program was designed to assess students view points on educational, social and personal issues.

4 Workshop on C Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a workshop on C on 27 th October The workshop was attended by 54 students of ME,Civil and CSE Branch of 1st Year. The main objective of the workshop was to develop a basic understanding of programming language concepts, such as idea generation, opportunity evaluation, business model and project creation.

5 FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM QIP Short term course on Mathematical Analysis and Applications organized by IIT Roorkee 4th - 8th July 2016 QIP Short term course on Mathematical Analysis and Applications A QIP Short Term Course was organized by IIT Roorkee on Mathematical Analysis and Applications on 4th - 8th July Mr. Prassan Sharma, Assistant Professor, APS Department, Dronachraya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the STC. The objective of the course was to provide the participants an opportunity to see how Mathematical Analysis can be applied in various contexts to solve the problem. The course was coordinated under the supervision of Dr. P.N Aggarwal.

Ltd Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an Industrial visit to Aptron Solutions Pvt. Ltd on 2nd September, Twenty seven students from B.Tech first year ECE/CSIT/IT along with Dr. Somnath Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Science and Humanities, visited Aptron Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The main objective of this visit was to make student aware about how various activities related to technology in the field of Networking and Electronics are carried out in the Industry.

8 Industrial Visit of Moon Beverages, Sahibabad Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an Industrial Visit to M/s. MOON Beverages Limited, Ghaziabad on 21st September 2016 for 45 students of I year B.Tech (ME and CE branch) along with Dr.Neeraj Bala and Mr. Atul Kumar. The objective of the visit was to enhance technical and practical knowledge about manufacturing and production of Cola Products (Beverages), like Bottles, Canes. Visit of CSIR-NPL Open Day A visit to OPEN DAY at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, was organized by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 27th September Dr. Neeraj Bala and Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, APS Department, along with 30 students of B.Tech 1st year attended this visit.the main objective of visit was to give students knowledge of a premier laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), involving in multidisciplinary R&D programmers of both basic and applied nature across scientific disciplines for economic, environmental and societal benefits for the people of India.

9 Industrial Visit of Aptron Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an Industrial visit to Aptron Solutions Pvt. Ltd on 30 September, Thirty seven first year students of CSE Department along with Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Science and Humanities, visited Aptron Solutions Pvt. Ltd.The main objective of this visit was to make student aware about how various activities related to technology in the field of Networking and Electronics are carried out in the Industry. Industrial Visit of Eveready An Industrial Visit to EVEREADY, Noida was organized by Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 4 th October students of B.Tech (CSE) First Year went for a visit with Dr. Abhishek Swami, Department of Applied Science and Humanities. The objective of this industrial visit was to gain practical knowledge about the management practices & production unit being followed at Eveready.

10 Industrial Visit of Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. An Industrial visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd for First year students was organized on 7th October, 2016 by the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. The main objective of the visit was to enhance General awareness about the importance of Probiotics and how to make the best use of it. Industrial Visit of Mother Dairy, Patparganj, New Delhi Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an Industrial Visit to Mother Diary, Patparganj, New Delhi on 14 October students of Ist Year of CSE, CSIT, IT, EEE and ECE along with two faculty member Dr.S.K.Srivastava and prof D..Kumar the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, DGI, Greater Noida. The main objective of the visit was to enhance general awareness of the students regarding the importance of Probiotics and how to making a good use of it.

11 QEEE SESSIONS QEEE Session on Multivariable Calculus Organized by IIT Madras 17th, 19th & 21st October 2016 QEEE Session on Multivariable Calculus QEEE Session on Multivariable Calculus was conducted by IIT Madras on 17th, 19th and 21st October 2016 under D2S (Direct to Student) Program. Prof. G. Venkatesh, Department of Mathematics, IIT, Madras conducted the session. The students of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from 1st Year attended the session which was organized at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida and coordinated by Mr. Prassan Sharma (Assistant Professor, Department of APS).

13 Run for Rio - Khelo or Jiyo Sports Authority of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has organized Run for Rio - Khelo or Jiyo on 31st July 2016 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, India Gate, New Delhi. Dr. Abhishek Swami, Mr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Mr. Ankush Yadav, Mr. Sunil Kumar, Mr. Anoop Mishra and Mr. Gaurav Singh along with 130 NSS volunteers from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in Run for Rio event. ORIENTATION PROGRAMME Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an Orientation Program for B.Tech First Year Students (Batch ) on 6th August Parents were invited to accompany their wards to have a first - hand information regarding all Academic and Extra Curricular Activities. The program was coordinated by Dr. Abhishek Swami, HOD, Applied Science Department. The major objective of the program was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.

14 Visit to Agra Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an excursion visit to Agra on 27 August First year students of B.Tech along with faculty and staff members joined this excursion trip. The group reached Agra at 11:00am enjoying the journey through Yamuna Expressway. Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2016 Embassy of Sweden, New Delhi organized The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2016 on 7 th October 2016 at Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi University. The quiz series was a part of the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week, now in its tenth year. Swati Sethi, a first year student from branch CSIT won a Gift hamper for answering to the questions posed to the audience along with Rati Kumar Jha and Shweta Pathak from CSE first year.

15 Parent Teacher Meeting A Parent Teacher Meet for B.Tech 1st Year students was organized on 19th November, 2016 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. The objective of the meeting was to discuss students progress concerning academics, behavior, discipline and finding solution to any of their concern. Prof. (Dr.) S.K Bagga, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida and Dr. Abhishek Swami, HOD - APS ensured individual and personalized attention to the concerns of the parents. International Science Festival 2016 Ms. Rajani Dwivedi,Assistant Professor,APS attended International Science festival held at CSIR- National Physical Laboratory (NPL) Campus, New Delhi from 7-11 December 2016, The objective of event is to display India's contribution in the field of S&T and to motivate the young scientists to find solutions to the burning issues of our society.

16 Harper Collins Quiz on A Game of Thrones Xpress Minds Edutainment organized a Quiz on A Game of Thrones at Sri Sathya Sai Auditorium, Lodhi Road on 16th December A total of 10 Students from first year branch of ECE, EEE and CSIT along with Ms. Anuja Sahni, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Sciences and humanities, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida spiritedly participated in the event. The quiz series was a means to celebrate the special 20th Anniversary of the popular Hollywood Show series.
