2 ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY, ALIGARH OFFICE OF THE CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS AND ADMISSIONS (ADMISSION SECTION) IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES CALLED FOR IInd ROUND OF COUNSELLING FOR ADMISSION TO PG COURSES PERTAINING TO THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE. 1. Candidates provisionally selected for Second Round of Counselling to MD/MS/PG Diploma and MDS Courses in the Faculty of Medicine for the session have to report in person on at 09:30 a.m. (for MDS) and at 10:00 a.m. (for MD/MS/PG Diploma) with the following documents/certificates: a. Secondary School Certificate / High School Certificate or its equivalent examination in support of Date of Birth etc. b. Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent examination. c. Mark-sheets of MBBS/BDS course passed (from First Prof. to Final Prof.) d. MBBS/BDS Degree e. Certificate of completion of compulsory Rotatory Internship for the period prescribed by the MCI/DCI f. Permanent/Temporary Registration Certificate g. No Objection Certificate from the employer/institution wherein he/she was working/pursuing the PG Course. Note: 1. Selected candidates will be allowed to complete admission formalities only if they produce the above documents in original. 2. Candidates selected on the basis of Counselling as stated above will complete the admission formalities on at 10:00 a.m. in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine of this University. 3. PLEASE NOTE : i) Appearance in the Counselling is not a guarantee of admission. The admission shall be offered strictly on the basis of rank and availability of seats as per University rules. ii) No Separate intimation letter to individual candidates will be sent for completion of admission. iii) Date of admission will not be extended. iv) The candidates are required to bring with them eight (2.5 x 3.0 cms in size), photographs taken not earlier than three months. v) Candidates selected for admission will have to pay Rs.11755/- (Approx.) as Admission Charges at the time of completion of admission formalities. IMPORTANT: Candidates who fail to report in person for COUNSELLING (IInd Round), will not be called for subsequent rounds of counseling, if any, and shall not be considered for admission.

The Second Counselling for allocation of specialities for admission to various Postgraduate Courses for the Academic Session 2016 will be held on at 10:00 a.m. in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine and the result will be declared by the Office of the Controller of Examination, AMU. 2. Candidates who fail to report in person for counselling on will not be considered for any subsequent counselling and admission. 3. Candidates in order of merit will exercise choice of subject according to the availability of postgraduate seats in one of the following manners : a. CONFIRMED SEATS : A candidate who opts for a seat under Section 2(a) on the prescribed Counselling Form from amongst the available seats at his/her rank, will not be allowed to change his/her subject and his/her seat will be treated as Confirmed seat. b. PROVISIONAL SEATS : In the first appearance, a candidate may select a subject from the available seats and will mention it in Section 2(b) of the Counselling Form. The seat offered to him / her will be treated as Provisional Seat and will be confirmed in the subsequent counsellings. c. A candidate who does not accept the seat offered to him / her at his/her rank in the second counselling and opts for 2(c) of the counselling form shall be eligible for the next counseling, if any. 4. Candidates offered admission in second Counselling shall be eligible for admission on (between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm) provided they complete their Internship between April 01, 2013 to March 31, 2016 (as per Guide to Admission (Supplement-M) ). 5. (i) Candidates offered admission on fail to report for admission or found ineligible, shall not be considered for admission; and the subject offered to them under 2(a) or 2(b) of the Counselling Form shall be treated as vacant. (ii) If a candidate fails to report at his/her turn, he will be given a seat available, if any, at the time of reporting during the period of Counselling irrespective of his/her rank. 6. (a) At the time of admission, candidates shall submit an undertaking as given in Annexure-I on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/-. 5 2 7. No candidate will be allowed to join a Diploma Course if he/she is already pursuing / has passed a Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS) Course in the same subject. 8. Candidates after admission to PG Course , shall be governed by the rules as mentioned in the Guide to Admissions (Supplement-M) The Academic Session for the MD/MS/PG Diploma Programme for shall commence from If a candidate admitted to the MD/MS/PG Diploma Course in the Faculty of Medicine leaves before completion of the course or after final round of Counselling, he/she shall not be eligible to appear in any other Admission Test for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in the Faculty of Medicine conducted by the University for next three consecutive years. Further, he/she will have to pay Rs.1.5 Lacs (Rupees One Lac and Fifty Thousands) as penalty and also return the stipend in full received from University D:\pg 2 course\attachments (1)\GUIDELINES-MD-MS-.doc
