Residential Degree College, Vijayapuri South, Nagarjuna Sagar(Men): Admission into I year Degree Course B.A. (HEP), B.Com (General), B.Sc., (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) and B.Sc. (Maths, Stat and Computer Science) in A.P. Residential Degree College, V.P South, Nagarjuna Sagar will be given based on merit in RDC-CET The medium of instruction is English only. It was established in 1982 by the Govt. of A.P in G.O.Ms.No. 762 Edn., Dept., Dt under the Management of A.P Residential Educational Society (Regd.), Hyderabad in fully Residential and Gurukul Pattern with an aim to cater to the needs of rural talented students at undergraduate level. The main objective of APREI Society to start APR Degree College at Nagarjuna Sagar is to provide quality education suited to the present day educational scenario in a congenial atmosphere and to help and strive for all round development of the students. It provides free boarding and hostel facility in addition to free education with the aid of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. Since its inception the college has been producing meritorious students who brought laurels to the college. A good number of students got selected to IITS, Indian Institute of Science, Central Universities of Hyderabad, Pondichery, JNU, BHU, University of Delhi and other reputed institutions across the country. Majority of B.Com. students got selected for CA., ICWA & Company Secretaries. Most of the B.A. students are in Group I and Group II Services and some of them have joined IAS/ IPS/IRS/IFS. The college is equipped with good Library and Laboratory facilities. The staff of the college is highly qualified and is well experienced. It is a judicious mixture of talented youth and experienced Lecturers. A special feature of the college is the loco parent system, in which batches of 20 students are allotted to a lecturer, called loco parent. The loco parent will supervise overall welfare of his ward which includes not only academic but even health, career guidance and counseling. APRDC,NAGARJUNA SAGAR HAS BEEN AWARDED WITH B+ BY NAAC. The Alumni is very active and supporting the outgoing students both financially and academically in the form of scholarships, fellowship, academic guidance etc. The college has successfully celebrated the Silver Jubilee function in December, For the last several years the college has been securing not only 100% results but also getting good number of University Ranks.

Silver Jubilee Government College, Kurnool was established in October 1972 to cater the needs of meritorious students in the state of erstwhile A.P. It was conferred with Autonomy in 2005 by UGC, recognized as College with Potential for Excellence in 2010 by UGC and Reaccredited with A Grade by NAAC in The Autonomous Status has been extended up to by UGC Expert Committee in To provide Academic Flexibility, Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) was introduced in The institution introduced Coeducation in by admitting the women students as Day scholars. 2. Silver Jubilee Government College (Autonomous), Kurnool is under the jurisdiction of Rayalaseema University, Kurnool. However, the students are considered as local for all the A.P State Universities for P.G admissions. 4. This Institution conducts many General Electives under CBCS to develop additional skills in the subjects and student study projects are apart from normal courses to inculcate research culture. 5. The College Library is enriched with thousands of Books, Journals, e-library in addition to Departmental Libraries. The IT Infrastructure includes 190 Computers, LCD Projectors, Laptops, Computer Science Lab, JKC Lab, Commerce Lab and SC, ST Centre. Every Department is provided with BSNL Broad Band Internet connectivity. 6. The Institution has Jawahar Knowledge Centre which imparts employable skills to the students and assists them in the Campus Placements. Many students got jobs in the international organizations like Infosys, ICICI and Cipla and other MNCs. 7. 3 2) Hostel facilities at SJGC (A), Kurnool: 1) Men & Women students admitted shall reside in the Hostels attached to the college 2) The students will be sanctioned Rs. 1050/- per month by Government of A.P towards diet charges. 3) Total maintenance charges (electricity, water charges, wages to hostel workers etc.) will be equally distributed to the number of inmates in the hostel which may come to Rs. 2200/- per head every year (already included in college fee as shown above); which will be required to be paid at the time of admission and in the beginning of second and third years. However, if any excess is required it will be collected from the inmates. 4) The hostel mess will be run either by a contractor appointed by the hostel advisory committee through outsourcing or as it was run in previous years. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR for RDC- CET 2018 a) Students who have appeared for Senior Intermediate Examination in March/April conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P and Board of Intermediate of Telangana. or equivalent to Intermediate of A.P & Telangana. are ONLY eligible to appear for the test subject to the other conditions. The students appeared for the intermediate instant examinations in 2017 are not eligible for admission.

6 b) They should have passed the qualifying examination in one and first attempt in IPE- March 2018 and should have secured 50% of marks on aggregate and 40% of marks in English subject (there is a relaxation of 5% in the case of SC/ST/BCs). c) For B.A all the students are eligible irrespective of subjects studied in Intermediate. But they have to take Entrance Test in HISTORY, ECONOMICS and CIVICS d) For B.Com Students of CEC or any other group are eligible. But they have to take the Entrance Test in ECONOMICS, COMMERCE-I, COMMERCE-II. e) For B.Sc., (Maths, Statistics and Computer Science), the MEC students have to write Entrance in Maths, Economics and Commerce- I f) For B.Sc courses Students must have studied the respective subjects at Intermediate level. VI Scheme and Syllabus for the Common EntranceTest The examination will be in one session of 2 ½ hours duration in the subjects mentioned at table II(a) and IV. Examination will be conducted for 150 marks in Total. There will be three papers for 40 marks in each subject in addition to English paper for 30 Marks. English paper is common to all. Examination will be conducted on Intermediate syllabus (Board of Intermediate Education, AP, Hyderabad) for group subjects. Questions will be in both English and Telugu media and in objective type multiple choice questions. Answers should be marked in OMR sheet. There will be no negative marks for wrong answer. For correct results all the answered circles should be shaded fully and thickly. VII. Reservation of Seats: a) The reservation of seats will be as per Govt. orders issued from time to time. c) 33% seats in each course are ensured to women candidates at Silver Jubilee Government College (A), Kurnool.

7 VIII Reservation of Seats for Special Categories: a) Ex-servicemen in the case of admission under these categories. b) For NCC - Senior Division B Certificate. c) For sports quota - District and above level participation certificate d) For PHC quota - Medical Certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Civil Surgeon. Minimum disability 40%. e) Children of Armed Personnel Quota - relevant certificate from the competent authority. IX. Allotment of Seats: The seats available in the colleges are allotted in the ratio of 42:36:22 to the areas of erstwhile Andhra University, erstwhile Osmania University and erstwhile Sri Venkateswara University respectively as noted below: 1. HOW TO APPLY: Steps to be followed in submission of the application through Online. i. The candidate shall first go through the information bulletin carefully and satisfy their eligibility for appearing for RDC-CET ii. The candidate after satisfying himself/herself about the eligibility criteria for the submission of application through online shall pay a fee of Rs from to for submission of application through Online. iii. The candidate has to give the required preliminary data (i.e. Name of the candidate, Date of birth and mobile phone number). iv. On receipt of fee, the candidate shall be issued a Journal Number with which she/he can proceed with submission of application through online through the website Issue of Journal Number does not mean that the candidate has completed submission of application online. It is only a confirmation of the fee received.

8 v. Before submission of the Online application form, the candidate has to fill up the Model Application form (given at annexure-1) vi. The candidates shall follow the procedure for submission of online application as given in the Information Bulletin and also as per the instructions provided online while filling up the online application form. The Candidate should be ready with photograph of size 3.5 X 4.5 cms before filling in on-line application. The Photo should be scanned and uploaded along with the application form. vii. While filling the on line application, the candidate has to opt the course. Once a course is opted, that cannot be changed (For the course to be opted see the table XI) viii. On submission of Application ONLINE, the candidate has to take a copy(print) of application form in which a reference number also be given. This Reference number is required to download the Hall Ticket. The copy of online application is to be preserved for further reference. Ixi. For any mistakes/incorrect information, the candidate is solely held responsible. Hence, they must take utmost care while filling the online application. x. The Applications of the ineligible candidates will be rejected Summarily xi. The selected Candidate should be able to produce the original certificates at the time of admission as a proof to the information furnished in the application. Xii. The selection of the candidate will be summarily rejected if they fail to submit the necessary documents at the time of admission. XI. COURSES OFFERED The candidate is requested to chose any one of the Category of Course as per his eligibility in the qualifying examination i.e., Intermediate. The Common counseling will be conducted for admission into AP Residential Degree College (Men) Nagarjunasagar and Silver Jubilee Government College (Co-Ed)) Autonomous Kurnool based on the merit secured in the RDC-CET 2018 in category of course and University wise. The candidate has to opt his choice of Degree course at the time of Counseling.

Jurisdiction of Local Candidates a) The candidate, who has studied in any of the educational institutions, located in any district in particular University area for a period of 7 continuous consecutive years (from Class 6 th to Inter or its equivalent) at the time of his/her appearance to Inter or its equivalent examination shall be treated as local candidate of that University area. b) If the candidate studied Class 6 th to Inter or its equivalent in different Districts located in different University areas, the District in which he studied to the maximum four years period will be taken into account for fixing the University area for selection. For proof, the candidate has to submit the bonafide certificate/certificates from Class 6 th to Inter or its equivalent at the time of counselling without fail. c) Private candidates should submit Nativity Certificate obtained from the MRO/Tahasildar. Residence Certificate will not be accepted. d) Candidates must be the residents and must have studied in Andhra Pradesh /Telangana only. e) The candidates must have appeared intermediate or its equivalent exam in March 2018 in single attempt only. Supplementary candidates are not eligible for admission.

10 XIII. Issue of Hall Tickets: Candidates can download their Hall Tickets from the website at or from to with the reference number allotted to them. Candidates have to download the hall tickets from the website only. No printed hall ticket shall be issued/posted to the candidate. Request for issue of duplicate Hall Ticket will not be entertained. Without hall ticket, no candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination. XIV. General Information: 1. Admissions are ONLY FOR MEN.at APRDC Nagarjuna Sagar(Guntur Dt). 2. Admissions are for both MEN AND WOMEN STUDENTS at Silver Jubilee Govt. College (A), Kurnool. 3. Mere appearing for the Entrance Test does not confer any right for admission. Applicants shall also fulfil other admission criteria stipulated by ANU & APREI society, Rayalaseema University and Govt. of AP as the case may be. 4. The administration reserves the right of changing the rules to be followed as per the directions of the Government and University from time to time. 5. The candidates are personally held responsible for incorrect information in the application form. 6. The convenor reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage, if the particulars furnished by the candidate are found incorrect or against the rules of admissions. 7.
