1 A.K.Gosain Professor & Head Ref. : IITD/CE/PHD/11/ Dated: 09/12/2011 Subject: Interview for Selection of Ph.D. Programme for IInd Semester Dear With reference to your application for admission to Ph.D. Programme in this Department, you are requested to appear before the Departmental Research Committee (DRC) for an interview on Monday the 19 th December, 2011 at a.m. in the Committee Room of the Civil Engineering Department (Block IV Room.222). You are requested to bring the Original Degree Certificates and Marks Sheets of all the relevant examinations passed by you, failing which you will not be interviewed. The list of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed on the notice board on the same day evening or the next day morning. The selected candidates will be required to pay the first installment of Institute fee of within a week after the issue of the Offer Letter as given below: All Full Time Ph.D. Students General/OBC/PH Rs. 9635/ SC/ST Rs. 7135/ All Part Time/Sponsored Ph.D. Students: General/OBC/PH Rs. 8785/ SC/ST Rs. 6285/ Candidates can, subject to availability, avail of residential facilities in the hostels. The Offer Letter will be issued in person after receiving the clearance from Dean PGS&R which takes 2 3 days after the interview. You have to submit the (Photocopy) of Institute fee receipt to the Civil Engg. Office immediately after paying the Institute fee. In addition to this, the selected candidates will have to deposit Rs. 500/ (separately n Refundable) as Civil Engineering Society fee in the CE Office. If hostel accommodation is provided, the candidates will be required to deposit Rs. 20,500/ for male candidates and Rs. 19,500/ for female candidates towards Hostel Security and Mess dues. You will have to give an undertaking at the time of Hostel allotment that you will not keep any motor driven vehicle in the campus. Part Time / Sponsored (Full time) candidates will not be interviewed without NOC / Sponsoring Certificate from his/her employer. hostel will be provided to Part Time / Sponsored candidates. In case you need lodging & boarding facilities during your stay in Delhi for this interview, you may contact the Warden Jwalamukhi Hostel (for male candidates) or Kailash Hostel (for female candidates). The charges will be Rs. 160/ per day payable by Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director IIT Delhi (Jwalamyukhi Hostel) for male candidates and Director IIT Delhi (Kailash Hostel) for female candidates.
