1 Math Olympiad, EUMO th January (Thursday), : Call for Participation :- It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (E&T),, Dhaka is going to organize the Math Olympiad, EUMO 2011 on 27 th January (Thursday), 2011 to be held in Eastern Auditorium at Campus - 2, House No. 8/A (6 th Floor of Royal Plaza), Road No. 4 (Mirpur Road), Dhanmondi, Dhaka. A good number of scientists, technologists and researchers from different universities will be attending the event. The aim of the Math Olympiad is to create the opportunity for our young talented students in the country to shine and show their mathematical and analytical talents and to create a national awareness for the development of math skills. We are inviting all the talented mathematicians studying in different public and private colleges of Dhaka City to participate in the Olympiad. Only 150 students will be allowed to sit for the competition based on first come first service. The Panel of Judges will finalize the list of contestants for the Olympiad. All the concerned students are encouraged to participate in the competition. Last date of registration is 23 rd January (Sunday), Registration is Absolutely Free. 4 Problems in the Olympiad will be based on intermediate level mathematics (having special relevance to SSC/O-Level math.). Problem types will require analytical ability on the part of the contestant. Rules & Regulations: 1. The Students who have passed their S.S.C/O-Level in 2008, 2009 and 2010 will be eligible for registration. 2. The Olympiad will judge analytical skill and problem solving ability of the students. The Panel of Judges is solely responsible for accepting or rejecting the answers. Their decisions are final. 3. The language of the Olympiad is English. All written materials will be in English. 4. Each contestant has to contest individually. 5. All participants must bring their institutional ID card on the test day. 6. Use of laptops and mobile phone are prohibited during the Olympiad.
