2 Work Experience & Skills January 2015 current Faculty Manager: Office of the Dean Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (UFS) Responsible for general faculty and meeting administration. Manage student enquiries and provide advice of a general nature. Provide specific student advice in consultation with the Manager: Teaching and Learning and the Programme Directors. Serves as secretary of the Faculty Management Committee, Faculty Board, Programmes Committee, Research and Higher Degrees Committee and any other committee as deemed appropriate by the Dean. Manage the registration process of the faculty in collaboration with the Programme Directors and Student Academic Services. Responsible for all documentation of the faculty that needs to be submitted to the Executive Committee of Senate (ECS) and Professoriate committee. Chair the Timetable Committee of the faculty. Coordinate the Class, Venue and Examination timetable of the faculty. Serves as the faculty representative on the Examination Committee, Academic Planning and Development Committee, Graduation Committee and proxy for the Dean on the Employment Equity committee. Responsible for compilation of rulebooks, yearbooks and the Kovsie Guide, and administering rule changes in collaboration and consultation with the Manager: Teaching and Learning, and the Programmes Committee. Support the Dean with the appointment of Academic Departmental Heads and staff (arranging interviews, minute taking, etc.). Manage all Human Resource related activities of the faculty and tracking of all HR related activities in collaboration with the Human Resource Business Partner. Manage the assets register of the Office of the Dean. Manage the Faculty Prize giving function for students and staff. Assist the Dean in managing the faculty's Risk Register and act as Risk Champion of the faculty. Manage the administration of all module evaluations within the 24 departments of the faculty. Assist the Dean in managing the faculty entities and budget preparation processes. Responsible for the administration of the annual allocations of the Postgraduate Dean s Bursaries.
