2 ADMISSION CRITERIA Admission to programs conducted by Ajeenkya DY Patil University is a matter of privilege and not a right. The medium of instructions for all our programs is English. We seek to attract, enroll and graduate academically talented students of diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Success in our program largely depends on sound academic preparation. We admit applicants whose ability, training, motivation, and interests indicate academic success. Prospective students must demonstrate commitment, maturity and a readiness to work and grow in an educationally creative environment. To identify these students, we have developed special admission procedures. The prospective students must share a passion for learning and demonstrate unflinching commitment to succeed. 3 STEP 1 Check the Eligibility HOW TO APPLY Easy and Student Friendly! The eligibility for each of the program offered by the University is different and is based on the program curriculum. Before applying, check the eligibility for that program. STEP 2 Complete the Application Form Complete the application form in all respects. Submit your filled-in application form, entrance examination score, photocopies of official mark sheets, photographs and 2000 application fee to: Admissions Office DYPWWI SCHOOL OF FILM & MEDIA Ajeenkya DY Patil University Charoli Bk. Via Lohegaon Pune Maharashtra, India Await the decision from ADYPU about acceptance of application for admission. STEP 3 Application Fee Every admission form must be accompanied by a demand draft of 2000 (Rupees Two thousand only) towards non-refundable application processing fees. The demand draft is to be drawn in favor of Registrar, Ajeenkya DY Patil University, payable at Pune. STEP 4 Merit List The applications for admission will be accepted as per the admission cycle notified on the university website from time to time. Candidates apply to ADYPU with scores from entrance exam conducted by ADYPU or by an authorized authority to conduct an entrance exam. Based on the scores received the admissions committee will prepare a merit list and will call the candidates for Group Exercise and Personal Interview.

4 STEP 5 Personal Interview If the application for admission is accepted, the second and final step is to attend a group exercise and a personal interview. The interview purpose is to know the applicant better and to gauge the passion and commitment of the applicant towards the applied program. The personal interview is also an opportunity for the prospective student to discuss with the faculty and admin staff and get answers to queries / doubts, if any. STEP 6 Admission Offer Once the personal interview is conducted, the prospective student is informed about the admission decision. If the admission decision is positive, an admission offer letter is issued. If the admission decision is negative, the prospective student is informed about the deficiencies and is given time to remedy the deficiencies if deficiencies are of remedial nature. STEP 7 Acceptance of Admission Form ACCEPTED ADYPU and the student form a contractual relationship when a student is enrolled at ADYPU. What follows are the terms of that contract in which the students accept to govern the mutual relationship, along with statute, and with the regulations and rules of ADYPU. On being offered an admission to a course at ADYPU the student will have to sign an Acceptance of Admission Form. The admission process is incomplete without the signing and hence is mandatory. *Disclaimer : It is the Policy of The Ajeenkya DY Patil University that admissions to its institutes be done strictly on Merit through its centralized admission procedure, No Capitation fees should be paid to seek admissions to any of its institutes, any individual doing so will be doing so at their own risk and the Management shall bear no responsibilities for such actions.
