1 Plan now for the Fellows Program Applications due June 1, 2018 The Leadership Foundation empowers high-potential women leaders through executive training, mentoring and networking opportunities.

2 The Leadership Foundation Fellows Program The International Women s Forum advances leadership across careers, cultures and continents by connecting women of diverse achievement. The IWF combines more than 40 years of experience with its global membership of over 6,500 women leaders in 33 nations in order to build better leadership for a changing world. The Leadership Foundation, IWF s charitable and educational entity, launched the Fellows Program in 1994 to train, mentor and connect women leaders. The U.S. Department of Labor provided seed funding for the program as a result of the findings of its Glass Ceiling Commission. PROGRAM TUITION US $27,500 One week of orientation, specialized Fellows Program training, and participation in the 2018 IWF World Leadership Conference in Miami, Florida. Two weeks of customized training at Harvard Business School and INSEAD Mentor visits All meals and accommodations All course materials Transportation not provided (ground & air travel) What Makes It Special Structure: The program convenes approximately 35 Fellows from around the world for a total of 20 days, comprised of three separate sessions. It is executed in partnership with Harvard Business School and INSEAD. The Fellows Program offers creative, multidisciplinary training aimed at developing leadership and strategic management capabilities. Mentors: In addition to leadership training, Fellows are matched with an IWF member who serves as a mentor and coach during the program year. Participants garner personal insights and advice from women at the top of their fields through this experience and from participation in IWF s annual World Leadership Conference, which on average brings together 850+ female executives from more than 40 nations. Legacy Projects: In order to leverage the impact of the Fellows Program beyond the 35 Fellows who participate each year, Fellows are charged with implementing a Legacy Project that furthers our mission of training, mentoring and connecting women leaders. Previous Legacy Projects include: a program to provide reading materials to rural secondary schools in Nigeria, a career conference series aimed at female university students in Mexico, and a breakfast roundtable for women in the U.S. military in Washington, D.C. 7 The Harvard training was amazing. I continue to be humbled and inspired by the wealth of talents, candor, thoughtfulness and insights. The whole experience was absolutely a gift. I am sure we all will benefit from this experience for the rest of our careers and lives. Xia Liu, Senior Vice President of Finance & Treasurer Southern Company Fellows Class A custom-tailored executive education program at Harvard Business School engages Fellows Program participants in a unique combination of classroom work, case-study discussion, and peer advice. Fellows hone their ability to think strategically in areas including negotiation, organizational learning, marketing, global affairs, and the management of innovation and services. Fellows also meet with their Board of Advisors groups in which they each work through a professional/business challenge. The meetings continue through the training at INSEAD and often after the fellowship concludes. The Women Leading Global Change program is designed as one of the milestones to the Fellows Program. Held at INSEAD s global campus in France, the Fellows are pushed to adopt a deeper, global perspective. A core component of the training is the 360 Global Executive Leadership Inventory developed by INSEAD s Global Leadership Center to measure 12 dimensions of leadership. The Fellows assess what they learned from the inventory with professional coaches. I always look for opportunities to network and strongly believe in its value. What I realized during the training at INSEAD was how similar the people are that are in my network. Professor Herminia Ibarra emphasized the importance and value of a diversified network.
