This Institute invites online applications over the website link for recruitment of 01 (ONE) post of Senior Administrative Officer (Unreserved) in Pay Level 11 of VII CPC Pay Matrix from eligible Indian Nationals possessing the qualifications prescribed in the table below. 3 General Conditions: The candidates are requested to note the following: 1. Please go through the following instructions carefully. The candidate shall be solely responsible for any loss or hardship caused to him/her due to his/her non-adherence to these instructions. The candidate is requested to visit NIOT website periodically to keep track of new announcements and changes, if any. 2. Candidate must be citizen of India. 3. The application form is available online on NIOT website Candidate should fill the application online and upon submission, applicant will be provided with an online Registration Number. After allotment of Registration Number, the candidate has to take a print out of the filled in application, sign and send to NIOT accompanied by copies of certificates as in Sl.No.5 below. 4. Online application must invariably be followed with duly signed hard and relevant enclosures. Online application without hard copy or vice versa is not acceptable. 5. The application without the following self-attested photocopies of the following documents shall summarily be rejected. (a) 10 th standard certificate or equivalent in support of Date of Birth. (b) 12 th standard or equivalent mark sheet. (c) Community certificate in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates (d) Degree / Diploma certificate along with final/consolidated mark sheet (e) P.G. Degree Certificate along with final/consolidated mark sheet (f) Certificate, if any, for proof of experience (g) Other documents, as applicable, relevant to the post applied for 6. The candidate should not have exceeded the maximum age limit as on the last date of receipt of online Application. 7. Women candidates fulfilling the requirements are encouraged to apply for the post. 8. Candidates who are in Government / autonomous Institutions and PSU should forward their applications through proper channel. 9. NIOT may fix suitable norms for short listing the applications depending upon the number of candidates applied for the post and the vacancy available so as to restrict the number of candidates to a manageable level. 10. Mere possession of the education qualifications and requisite experience will not entitle any right to be called for test/interview or selection. 11. The Advt. 4 13. Self attested copies of certificates / testimonials (for age, qualification and experience) should be enclosed along with the application. Write Enclosure Sl. No. as mentioned in the application. 14. The applications received after due date or without enclosures or incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. NIOT will not be responsible for delay in transit or delivery. 15. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification. 16. Outstation candidates called for test / interview will be reimbursed to and fro sleeper class rail fare by the shortest route from the place of residence (as per application) or actual starting place whichever is less on production of travel (Bus / rail ticket). 17. Print out of registered online applications should be sent to The Director, National Institute of Ocean Technology, Velachery Tambaram Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai , INDIA super scribing "Application for Sr.A.O" on the envelope. 18. Selection process: The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum requirements and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. If the number of applications received in response to advertisement are large, it will not be convenient or possible to call all the candidates for interview. Hence, this Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview before Selection Board to a reasonable limit through screening process. The criteria for screening of the applications will be based on candidates qualifying credentials against: i) The essential requirements specified above ii) Date of birth iii) Completeness of the application in terms of providing accurate details and submission of the passport size photograph and copies of the marks list, academic and experience certificates, signature iv) Essential experience v) Desirable qualification and experience as specified above

5 vi) Consistent academic performance at one or more levels, etc.,. The candidates experience certificates should clearly specify whether they possess the experience / knowledge requested in the essential / desirable experience requirements against the post. The benchmark for screening the applications will be set by a committee constituted to screen the applications. The final selection of the Screened in candidate will be based on the candidate s performance before the Selection Board. No correspondence will be entertained with candidates who are not called for interview / selected for appointment. 19.
