The experience you gain will help you broaden the scope of your personal and professional skills. Novartis offers internships on all levels of your academic education. If you are a self-motivated, target-oriented person eager to learn and like to work in diverse teams, you will find an inspiring environment where you can enrich your knowledge by first-hand practical experience. Before-Study Internships Have you finished high school or commercial school and would like to get an insight into the industry and practical aspects of your field of study you are focusing on? To support your choice of degree Novartis offers you internships before you are going to university. Undergraduate Students After having finished at least a few semesters at university level, you might be eager to apply your knowledge in practice. At Novartis, you can either do an internship that is mandatory for your BSc/ BA curriculum or do a piece of research as your bachelor s thesis. During my internship I learned to manage my projects independently and to schedule my experiments efficiently. Postdoctoral positions are mainly available within research and development. Our Postdoctoral Program at NIBR (Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research) provides postdoctoral scholars with a unique opportunity to perform innovative, fundamental research in a pharmaceutical setting. Postdocs design and conduct their research with guidance from a principal investigator at Novartis, and an academic advisor where appropriate. Our postdocs present their work at major research conferences and aim to publish their results in leading peer-reviewed journals. We encourage applications from candidates who wish to pursue a career in academia or industry.
