Motivation for participating at the EXCEED program Please briefly state the reasons why you wish to participate at this program: During the time of doing my master thesis "Preparation of adsorptive material from pyrolusite ore (Tra Linh, Cao Bang, Viet Nam) for heavy metals and arsenic treatment in supplied water", I got acquainted with a heavy metal treatment method using a kind of ore which distributes porpularly in Viet Nam. I also had an opportunity to create and investigate the adsorption capacity of this material. Since then, I have shown my deep interest in using different materials for heavy metals removal. On the other hand, In Vietnam, Agricultural production gained an advantage over than others resulting in a great amount of agricultural byproducts generated. Hence, It really inspired me to participate in international research team which will be chaired by Prof. Dr. Erol Pehlivan in the research field "Production of Biosorbents from Agricultural byproduct and their Adsorption characteristics for Metal ions". I would like to make an effort to utilize our agrowaste materials for heavy metal removal. From here only to be filled out by Applicants who do not apply for Summerschool 6.
