1 UCI Campus Representative Program Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools Note: Please read all of the following pages before filling out the application. Campus Representatives are student-staff affiliated with UCI s Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools. The role of the Campus Representative, or Campus Rep, is multifaceted, with many opportunities for students to serve their campus while developing personal skills and augmenting their academic growth. Students selected for the program are those who enjoy their college experience and wish to share it with campus visitors, particularly prospective students. Responsibilities of the Campus Representatives: Leading campus tours Attending college fairs Giving presentations on UCI and the University of California Assisting in outreach and yield events, such as Celebrate UCI & Discover UCI Fall Preview Day Serving on panels discussing student life and the academic experience at UCI Attending mandatory training sessions and weekly check-ins Assisting other UCI departments in hosting special campus visitors, guests, and events Requirements: Enthusiasm and school spirit for UCI High level of commitment Must maintain a minimum 2.4 GPA in order to apply, and must maintain a 2.4 quarterly cumulative GPA through the duration of your employment Maintain full-time registration as a UCI student and in good disciplinary standing with the University Attend all mandatory weekend training dates, specified later in the application Attend all training dates during Spring Quarter These are Thursday nights from 4:00-7:00pm and are MANDATORY in order to be a campus rep. Campus Reps must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, rain or shine, hot or cold. Campus Reps walk backwards for the entire hour and must be comfortable speaking clearly and loudly while walking. Please be realistic with your expectations of your ability to do so. Compensation: Campus Reps are paid $9.00/hour, after the completed training. The number of tours varies based on your school schedule, but a minimum of 7 hour-long tours is required per quarter. 1.3 course units will be given P/NP for training. Training dates are listed on the following page. All training dates are mandatory. Requirements for the training include weekly quizzes, a 5-page paper, and a final exam. 1 of 7

Application Procedures Return the application to the Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools located in 260 Aldrich Hall between 9 a.m. 5p.m. Sign up for a group interview at the front desk. If you are selected to continue in the process, you will be notified via as to which reception you are assigned. Final selection will be made after both receptions are over. Selection letters will be available for pick-up at the Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools between 9 a.m.-5p.m. beginning Monday, March 7th. Acceptance letters are due by Friday, March 11th.
