KVPY PROGRAM The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science. The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country. The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies normally on the Technology Day (May ) and the Second Sunday of July every year. Selection of the students is made from those studying in XI standard to st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology having aptitude for scientific research. Special groups / Committees are set up at IISc to screen the applications and conduct an aptitude test at various centres in the country. Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students are called for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure. For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test and interview marks are considered. Generous fellowships are provided up to the pre-ph.d. level to the selected KVPY Fellows. SELECTION PROCEDURE. APTITUDE TEST: After scrutiny of application forms and meeting the eligibility criteria for various streams, all eligible students will be called for aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centers across the country.. INTERVIEW: Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students will be asked to appear for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST Common Law Admission Test is a centralized test for admission to prominent National Law Universities in India. The test is taken after the Higher Secondary Examination or the th grade for admission to integrated under graduation program in Law and after Graduation in Law for Master of Laws (LL.M) program conducted by these law universities. The CLAT scores are used by other private law colleges across the country and Public Sector Undertakings for admissions and recruitment respectively. CLAT 0 ELIGIBILITY Candidates shall be below Twenty (0) Years of age as on st July 0 in case of all Unreserved/NRIs/NRI Sponsored categories candidates. Candidates shall be below Twenty Two () years of age as on st July 0 in case of SC/ST/ OBC/ Specially Abled Persons (SAP) category candidates. As regards minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination (i.e., 0+), the candidates must have secured: (i) Forty five percent (%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved /OBC /Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories, and (ii) Forty Percent (0%) marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 0 are also eligible for appearing in CLAT-0 online examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission. The result of qualifying examination (i.e., 0+) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course. In case of equal marks, the breaking of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under: (i) Higher marks in the section of legal aptitude in CLAT-0 exam. (ii) Higher age. (iii) Computerized draw of lots CLAT 0 SYLLABUS CLAT 0 shall be conducted in online mode where the paper will have 00 questions from five different subjects including English (Comprehension), General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Scope and coverage of questions under different subject areas: English including comprehension: The English section will test the candidates' proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, candidates will be questioned on their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used therein, etc. The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc. General Knowledge and Current Affairs:The General knowledge will be tested on the general awareness including static general
