2 Messages Samrat Deka Chair - Yi Guwahati Chapter Director - SRD Nutrients Pvt. Ltd. It has been a great pleasure to lead Yi Guwahati Chapter. I am very happy to say that my journey has been very exhilarating and full of memorable experiences. I had the opportunity of interacting with host of people from diverse fields and this was truly an enriching experience. The chapter had a very active year with an array of activities and learning session planned throughout the year and with humility and pride I pass on my baton to the incoming Chair. Guwahati Chapter worked on enhancing membership engagement by organizing several programmes and learning sessions throughout the year. This year Team Guwahati had the opportunity to host the Young Indians Eastern Regional Summit. The successful execution of the Summit, working as a group of friends and colleagues, was a fulfilling experience. It was my privilege to be a part of various initiatives such as Global Entrepreneurship Week and National Volunteering Week. The dialogue with Mr. S. Gopalakrishnan, President, CII on Dreams & Aspirations Building Blocks for Youth Development, provided an opportunity for the youth of the region to share their aspirations. On the learning front, apart from having regular learning sessions we also had interactive music workshop with internationally recognized bands such as Soulmate from Shillong and Betty from New York. The Deepjyoti School initiative continues to be our utmost priority and I was happy to see greater involvement of members in the school activities. I wish the incoming leadership to take forward the Yi forum to newer heights. It is a pleasure and privilege to be a part of this Young progressive India. For me Yi is not just an organization where one can devote one s time and effort and work towards betterment of the society but instead I believe that Yi has the potential to bring about impactful changes in the overall development of the Nation. I believe that the dream of a developed nation can only be delivered by the youth.youth population is the strength and plays a vital role in the developmental process in any country. Keeping this in mind Yi Guwahati Chapter intends to create a platform for the youth where they can contribute towards realizing the dream of a developed Nation. We will carry out a series of initiatives aimed at encouraging and empowering young minds by awareness, advocacy and action. The chapter remains committed to the long-term goal of setting Yi as a benchmark for the youth community in the region. The journey so far has been extremely satisfying with diverse experiences, unique challenges and success and as Yi Guwahati Chapter moves forward there are many challenges to overcome and l reaffirm Yi s commitment toward Nation building and inclusive development, promoting the attitude of "We Can, We Will. I assure you as always we will be committed to work with passion, dedication and devotion.
