The Institute invites applications for admission to Pre-Entry (Access) Course for Ordinary Diploma Programs for the academic year 2013/2014. Admission requirements: (1) Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) with pass (grade D) in any two out of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics/Engineering Science, Chemistry, Biology and Geography or (2) CSE with pass in any one out of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics/Engineering Science and Chemistry and Certificate of Vocational Education and Training Grade I (National Vocational Award level 3) in a Trade (Occupation) relevant to ordinary diploma programs offered at WDMI; or (3) General Certificate of Engineering (GCE) Course content: Successful candidates will be required to attend learning and assessment activities in all of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. A candidate shall be considered to have passed the course if she passes continuous assessment (attains at least 20 out of 40 marks) and end-of-course exam (attains at least 30 out of 60 marks) in all the three subjects. Application forms: Application forms are available from the Accounting Department at the Institute after paying the application fee at the Bank, or can be downloaded from Completed forms and relevant attachments should be sent to: Principal, Water Development and Management Institute, P.O. Box 35059, Dar es Salaam. Required attachments are: original pay-in-slip for application fee (Tsh.20,000) payable to Water Development and Management Institute, Account No , NMB, Mlimani City Branch, Dar es Salaam; and certified true copies of educational certificates and birth certificate.
