1. Selection process consists of two stages: a) the verification and assessment of the on-line application (submitted both in CEMS database and DPM system) and candidate s eligibility to apply for CEMS MIM Programme according to formal requirements stipulated in 1 and 2 of the Rules; b) the external assessment (conducted by a company) and interview (conducted by SGH) with selected candidates. 2. Subject to analysis and verification are exclusively complete on-line applications, that were submitted on time with the required additional documents. 3. Application forms that do not fulfil formal requirements, are incomplete or have been submitted after the deadline, will be rejected. 4. Other applications will be subjected to assessment in order to select candidates for the second stage (assessment and interview). 5. Only those candidates who have successfully passed both stages of selection process may be admitted to CEMS MIM Programme. 4 General criteria of selection and the grading system 1. Candidates may obtain maximum 130 points according to criteria presented in Table 1 in the selection process. 2. The final score is a sum of selection points for all criteria. Table 1. Selection and grading criteria Selection criteria Selection points* Min Max 1a. SGH Admission Test (in Polish)** 1b. 5 *** Grade point average (GPA) from BA, or after the first or the second semester of MA studies at SGH is translated into selection points according to the following formula: (actual average grade 3.40) x 25; **** The result for proficiency in the second foreign language (FL2) is translated into selection points according to the following formula: (Competence test result or points according to Appendix 1-50) x Detailed description of criteria grading system at the 1 st stage of selection process 1. Grade Point Average from the Studies a) The points for SGH Admission Test of Knowledge in Economy and Foreign Language (in Polish) are translated into selection points according to formula presented in Table 1; this rule refers exclusively to students in the first semester of Master s Studies who were admitted to SGH based on that test. b) The score of candidates, students in the first semester of Master s Studies, who were admitted to SGH on the basis of high GPA of SGH Bachelor s Studies is calculated based on their GPA achieved after five semesters of bachelor s studies according to Table 1. c) The basis for assigning GPA points to students in the second or third semester of Master s Studies at SGH is their GPA achieved after first or second semester of studies respectively, translated into selection points according to Table 1. d) The basis for assigning GPA points to students in other cases not listed in this document (e.g. students who were admitted to SGH without any admission test) is the average number of points assigned to all remaining candidates who fulfil formal criteria of admission to CEMS MIM in this selection process. 2. Language proficiency in the second foreign language (FL2) a) Selection points for proficiency in the second foreign language (in scale from 0 to 100 points) is calculated solely on the basis of the SGH Language Competence Tests or commercial certificate (and equivalents) according to Appendix 1. b) The validity of SGH Language Competence Tests is limited to 2 years calculated according to the following formula: x-2, where x stands for the calendar year in which the selection takes place. c) If the candidate has presented a proof of proficiency in more than one FL2 the selection points will be calculated on the basis of the best result. d) In case stipulated in 1, section 7, the candidate is not given any selection points for proficiency in the foreign language other than English declared as FL1. Page 5 z 13

3. Extracurricular activity and activity in CEMS Club a) Students extracurricular activity is assessed by SGH Student Union (Samorząd Studentów SGH) according to its own rules and regulations that it sets and announces. b) Selection points will be uploaded to the DPM recruitment database from the file provided by SGH Student Union. c) The maximum number of points for that element is 20 regardless of the actual score provided by SGH Student Union. 6 Detailed description of criteria grading system at the 2 nd stage of selection process: Assessment and interview 1. To the second stage of the selection process may be admitted up to 80 (eighty) candidates with the highest score. 2. The above-mentioned number may increase (within the feasible capacity of the assessment and/or interview process) following the decision of the CEMS Academic Director at SGH, if: a) the number of available slots in partner universities is increased; b) the score of the 80 th candidate in the ranking is achieved by more candidates, so the total number of qualified students is higher than The aim of the assessment and interview is to expand the knowledge about candidates derived from their application forms and to assess their motivation to participate in CEMS MIM programme and their study plan. 4. The assessment is organised and conducted by an external company based on CEMS selection criteria and according to the methodology applied by the company (as agreed with CEMS Academic Director and CEMS Programme Manager at SGH). 5. The candidate may obtain up to 20 points for this criterion. The assessment is mandatory, however, in case of absence due to illness (medical documentation required), accident or force majeure, the candidate will still participate in the selection process, but will not obtain any points for this criterion. Absence without prior notification (no show) or due to other than above stipulated reasons results in candidate s exclusion from the selection process. 6. The interview is mandatory and is conducted with candidates in person (i.e. it is not allowed to conduct them via such media like telephone, videoconference etc.) by three members of the Selection Committee (Jury) as described in 9; the interview should last 15 minutes, including the time for candidate s profile presentation to the jury and his/her final evaluation. Page 6 z 13

7. Candidates may obtain up to 30 points for the interview (up to 10 points from each member of the jury) which is the sum of all points assigned by each member of the jury who assesses a candidate. 8. On top of the assignment of points for interview, each member of the jury is obliged to assess the compliance of candidate s profile with CEMS MIM requirements ( Yes of No ). If two, out of three jury members make a negative decision, all jury members, unanimously, must agree whether to accept or reject a candidate from the selection process (regardless of the total score of the candidate). If all three jury members indicate No during the interview, the candidate is automatically rejected from CEMS selection process. 9. Any absence from the interview (also due to an accident) results in the candidate s rejection from the selection process. 7 Assignment of university for a term abroad 1. The assignment of university in which a candidate will spend his/her term abroad means that a candidate has been accepted for CEMS MIM Programme. 2. Only students with a final score of at least 50% of the maximum available points will be accepted. This limit may be raised (in case the number of candidates with required minimum score exceeds the number of available slots), or lowered by the CEMS Academic Director, who is also responsible for setting the number of slots available in the selection process. 3. The assignment of candidates, who successfully complete both stages of the selection process, to a university where they will spend a term abroad, will be conducted by on-line application according to the following criteria: a) total number of selection points accumulated during selection process, and b) preference of universities for term abroad. 4. In case when two or more candidates obtain the same number of total points, the position in the ranking of such candidates is determined by: a) sum of points obtained for the assessment and interview, and then b) the points for extracurricular activity, c) grade point average, and d) points for the proficiency in the second foreign language (FL2). 5. Once the assignment process is complete, a list containing the names of candidates accepted for CEMS MIM Programme will be published along with a waiting list. 6. The candidate on the waiting list may be invited to CEMS MIM Programme in the Page 7 z 13

following cases: a) resignation of a candidate who was accepted for CEMS MIM; b) the increase in number of slots offered by a partner university, provided the candidate achieved minimum score as described in section 2; 7. The decision to accept a candidate from the waiting list is made by the CEMS Academic Director; admission is offered to candidates with the highest number of points according to the ranking list. 8. The unassigned slots may be transferred to selection process for LLP Erasmus, PIM and bilateral exchange programmes, or offered to CEMS MIM students who will apply and get permission to join CEMS Multi-Country Track (or Tri-National Track). 9. Appendix 3 contains a list of universities participating in the CEMS MIM programme, with the available number of slots for candidates. 8 Confirmation, resignation from participation in the programme, transfer of credits, and deletion from the programme 1. Candidates who qualify for CEMS MIM Programme are obliged to confirm on-line (or by phone, if they lack internet access) their assignment of university and semester. Once a student accepts the assignment, he/she cannot participate in the selection process for any other exchange programmes conducted by DPM for the same academic year, except internship abroad programmes that take place outside CEMS MIM terms. 2. Each student admitted to CEMS MIM is obliged to pay CEMS Registration and Handling Fee of 100 to dedicated SGH account within the deadline stipulated and communicated by CEMS Programme Manager at SGH. 3. Failure to fulfil the requirements stipulated in section 1 and 2 is tantamount to resignation from participation in the CEMS MIM programme. 4. Resignation (except cases described in section 3.) must be submitted to DPM Office in written form and should include the reason for such decision. 5. Resignation from the programme is inferred in cases when students fail to attend courses (e.g. do not to participate in the Block Seminar at the beginning of the programme due to other reason than sickness, accident or force majeure) and other programme elements, or interrupts the study process without prior notice sent to DPM. In such cases, DPM informs the Dean of Graduate Studies about that fact and the student is requested to present a letter of explanation to DPM. Page 8 z 13

6. CEMS Programme does not offer any scholarships. However, students mobility might be financed from Erasmus+ programme (EU and other eligible countries). In order to be offered an Erasmus scholarship, a student must apply for it along with other exchange students according to the rules and procedures stipulated by DPM and published on the DPM website. 7. If a student that has been granted a scholarship or other funds cancels his/her participation in CEMS MIM, does not go abroad, interrupts his/her term abroad or fails to pass his/her exams abroad, all funds must be returned to the account stipulated by DPM within 14 days from the date of: a) submission of written resignation, b) planned date of beginning of semester in partner institution, c) interruption of studies abroad, d) conclusion of the exam session in partner institution. 8. Students who resign from CEMS MIM (except cases described in Section 5.), may apply again for CEMS MIM according to the general rules of selection. 9. In case of interruption in pursuing CEMS MIM programme due to accident or other force majeure reasons, the decision on its continuation is made by CEMS Academic Director at SGH according to the rules and regulations of CEMS MIM Programme and regulations of studies at SGH. 10. Resignation from CEMS MIM Programme means that a student continues his/her study programme at SGH as described in SGH regulations. For the credit accumulated by that time SGH may grant ECTS credits. 11. The final decision on credit transfer is made by the Dean of Graduate Studies, after formal assessment of study documents by CEMS Programme Manager at SGH. 12. The Student will be deleted from the list of CEMS MIM students by the CEMS Programme Manager at SGH in the following cases: a) resignation (as described in sections 3-5), b) deletion from the list of SGH students, c) not showing three times for skill seminar without valid excuse, d) decision of the CEMS Graduation Committee, e) failure to fulfil CEMS MIM Programme requirements as described in the CEMS Student Guide and Graduation Rules (or equivalent document) for the given academic year published by CEMS, and in particular, if: i. more than 1.5 years passed between graduation from SGH and fulfilment of all other CEMS MIM requirements, ii. more than 4 years passed between the end of the MIM year and graduation from SGH. 13. The student may appeal against to the decision of deletion due to reason Page 9 z 13

described in section 12.e) to the CEMS Graduation Committee via CEMS Programme Manager at CEMS Head Office within 14 days after receiving the decision sent to the address of the student registered at his/her personal profile in the CEMS database. 14.
