Noted the follow-up action taken report on the decisions of the 40 th meeting held on (Annexure-I pages 3-11 of agenda) 3. Noted the action taken by the Vice Chancellor in approving the prospectus for admission to the courses being run by the University through Distance Education mode for the session in anticipation of the approval by the Academic Council (enclosed with agenda). Resolved that the above matter be recommended to the Executive Council.

10 4 4. Considered the scheme and syllabi of the Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety Management through Distance Mode (Annexure-II pages of agenda). Resolved that the scheme and syllabi for the above course as recommended by the Committee be approved. 5. Noted the action taken by the Vice-Chancellor in approving the proposal for dual specialization to MBA students who have already passed the degree since 2004 through Distance Education mode and MBA (Regular) from this University. 6. Noted the action taken by the Vice-Chancellor in allowing revision in the internal assessment marks from 25% to 30% of the maximum marks in all the papers of Management & Computer courses being run through Distance Education mode as per following criteria:- (i) 20% marks based on two assignments (Hand-written) of 10% marks each. (ii) 10% Marks for presentation/viva-voce. 7. Noted the action taken by the Vice-Chancellor in approving the University Prospectus for admission to the courses other than MCA, MBA, B.Pharm. and B.Tech. being run on the University campus for the session , in anticipation of approval of the Academic Council/ Executive Council (copy attached with agenda). Resolved that the above matter be recommended to the Executive Council. 8. Considered the recommendations of the Vice-Chancellor that Prof. Rama Rao, Director, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali (Near Chandigarh), Punjab (Member of Academic Council) may be nominated on the Admission Committee w.e.f for a term of two years in terms of Clause-1 (h) of the Ordinance- Admissions. 9. These will be valid up to the period as specified on the Library Identity Card. No book shall be loaned against invalid Library Identity Card. CHANGES IN LIBRARY RULES NO NO-DEMAND CERTIFICATE The Committee approved the change in library rule no. 11 after some modifications. It was also suggested by the Dean Academic Affairs that the selection of Deans should be on Seniority - cum - merit basis that the
