While an MBA degree can get one the abilities to solve tactical business problems, it requires a Ph.D. well equipped with state-of-the-art research skills to provide real insights through focused research and thus help an organization tread the right path. Through a doctoral programme (with full time Job) an experienced executives can contribute to the field of management science by doing research on the problems and issues in contemporary business world in a rigorous and relevant way. Areas of Specialization Eligibility Decision Sciences (Operations Research/ Business Statistics) Business Environment (Economics) Finance and Accounting Human Resources Management Information Technology and Systems Marketing Management Operations Management Strategic Management General Management The candidates for the programme should have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.

A Masters degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 55% aggregate marks OR A Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 60% marks or equivalent grade point average OR Any professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA and CS with a minimum 55% aggregate marks (for Finance area) 1. Should be currently employed in full time job 2. At least seven years of executive/managerial/academic experience in the relevant area as on 30 th June For engineering graduates the executive/managerial/teaching experience should be eight years. In addition, all the candidates should have secured a minimum of 55 % marks in all their public examinations starting with the secondary level. Age Limit Candidates must not be more than 55 years of age as on 30th June Selection Process Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria stated above are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs. Alternatively, those who have qualified GRE, GATE,GMAT, JRF/NET (UGC/CSIR) and written test conducted by IIM Lucknow Noida Campus conducted for its WMP Programme are also eligible to apply. Scores of any of these examinations including CAT taken during the last two

3 years (i.e., on or after 01 April, 2011) will be considered valid. Candidates, who are appearing for CAT/WMP admission test/gre/gmat/ GATE and JRF/NET of UGC/CSIR may fill in relevant column of EFPM application form and provide EFPM admission application information in CAT/WMP admission test/ GRE/GMAT/ GATE and JRF/NET application form. Candidates appearing any of the above tests are required to provide us the result of the test latest by 30 th April, 2013 for further processing of application at our end. Candidates who have already completed P G D M /IPMX/WMP from any of the IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale are exempted from this requirement, and can apply directly through the prescribed application form..such applicants are also eligible to get a waiver of course work and exempted from mandatory course work which are offered in first year program of Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM ). All application form will be screened by separate screening committee whose representatives will be from EFPM committee and respective areas. The candidates short-listed on the basis of their academic record and performance in the competitive examinations mentioned above will be called to IIM Lucknow, Noida Campus, for a personal interview for final selection in May 2013 and the successful candidates will be communicated by 30 th May Reservation Reservation for eligible categories will be as per Government of India rules applicable for doctoral programme at the time of admission. Duration of the Programme and Accommodation Five campus visits of 21 days duration each are needed to finish the course work of non exempted students during two years whereas three campus visits of 21 days duration each are needed to finish the course work of exempted students during one year. Third campus visit of 21 days duration for exempted candidates can be conducted through online/weekends subject to convenience of dissertation advisor and student. Non- exempted students will visit campus for additional three weeks (over a period of six months) as per convenience of TAC to complete dissertation work. It is suggested that a candidate desirous of good and robust work need to spend at least three weeks per year after completion of comprehensive Examination.

4 During campus visits, the arrangements for board and lodge will be made in the campus guest house/executive Hostel. The fee payable for board and lodge facility will be intimated before the commencement of term by the EFPM office. EFPM is a part time non - residential programme. The student is expected to complete the programme ordinarily in four years and a maximum of six years. Under special circumstances, students are eligible to get one time extension of one year and if they fail to complete the programme, their registration will be terminated on completion of seven years. Course Fee The course fee for exempted Candidates will be Rs. 4,00,000/- while it is Rs. 5,50,000 for the non exempted students. This does not include boarding & lodging during campus visits. HOW TO APPLY The EFPM application form can be downloaded from the website from 1 st Week of November, A candidate is eligible to submit applications to a maximum of two areas. In such cases, two copies of the application form, one for each

5 area, with all supporting documents may be sent together. Completed application forms along with a draft of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favor of IIM Lucknow payable at Delhi should be sent to the following address.
